Hey All, I'm currently seeking to hire a toy appraisal service for insurance purposes and haven't found any luck online. Most places I've found only deal in 1880-1970 pieces, and a good portion of my collection falls outside of that range (Be@rbricks,Kubricks,etc). Can anyone point me in the right direction for NYC or surrounding area? Thanks in advance! Best, Teddy
I don't know any appraisal services in NYC focusing on post-1970 toys/collectibles, but I understand that David Mapes of Mapes Auctioneers and Appraisers handles "modern" collectibles for evaluation purposes. I've never used him and he's located about a 3 hour drive outside the City, but he might be worth contacting.
