and purchased my first modern/original vinyls. I scored the Space Trooper online from Super7 and the other two gentlemen (one being a romantic son-of-a-biatch) were picked up at L.A.'s Giant Robot store (very cool place ).
The Contadina tomato paste...is one of my favorites for making homemade spaghetti. Since having kids...it's become easier sometimes to make and freeze pasta sauce. Anyway..I highly recommend it.
I believe that just means that the bees collected pollen from raspberries. We've got all kinds of honey up here, but they all just taste like honey - not the fruit that the pollen was collected from.
i always thought the space troopers were like 6inches plus, but i saw one at s7 yesterday and was surprised! they're still pretty rad though, especially ones with that head
man, i should have never parted with my visghosts. one regret i'll always have. especially this v-day edition! nice pics and pick-ups!
We have honey from allsorts of plants too ( in oz) each has a very different taste. All from native species. Can someone tell me if raspberry honey has a unique taste?
oh, i've had these little straw like things filled with peach honey and stuff like that... it had the slight additional taste of whatever it said. i had never seen a jar of it though
Apparently tea-focused places have flavored honeys, should be something you find at a tea house, or a shop that sells tea. It's for adding a little bit of flavor, and sweetening your tea, go figure. My girl said that's the only place she's seen real flavored honeys available - rather than the plant of pollination on it's label like suggested earlier.
Interesting. My wife picked up that Raspberry Honey at Trader-HEY WAIT A MINUTE! You guys are supposed to be ogling my vast collection, not commenting on the goddamn honey! My post has been hijacked. This is humiliating. Somebody find me a Site Admin.
Wow, I love your photography. This space trooper picture is fantastic: The fractured glow of the head captures the figure perfectly. It almost makes the figure look life-sized.
Thats funny, i kept reading through this to find more out about the honey. What caught my attention was the jar of corn and chile tomoto-less salsa, haha. That visighost is rad though. I have always wanted to pick them up but never have
i love how that clabber girl corn starch uses NO MESS! as a sales gimick! don't know why, but i find that funny. you should definitely try and track down the voodoo bonus version of the skullbrain, they look great together! also, that new shot of the chaos mini all rain dropletted is awesome, i added it to my comp screen saver slideshow!
Great shots...Excuse if it is a lame question but I have seen those crazy arse concrete river/drainways in movies before and they have intrigued me. I have never seen them full do they fill up and gush with torrents of water?... and please where is this? Dont flame me I am from elsewhere.
That first Usugrow shot is awesome JB. They do fill up and flow when it rains enough. Seems like that is rarer and rarer here in sunny California though. They are basically man-made rivers designed to take the water where we want it to go.
Heard a story about this on the radio not too long after the pics were taken. Buket pleads guilty to almost 3 dozen felony vandalism counts Wednesday, December 24th, 2008 Cyrus Yazdani was sentenced to 10 months in county jail, 256 hours of graffiti removal and five years formal probation. Because of time served, he was released from jail Monday afternoon. By Andrew Blankstein December 23, 2008 The graffiti artist who gained notoriety on YouTube with his daredevil tagging exploits pleaded guilty today to nearly three dozen felony vandalism counts and was released from jail after serving time since last May, prosecutors said. Cyrus Yazdani, one of Los Angeles’ most prolific taggers, who is known in the tagging world as “Buket,” admitted to 32 counts with the special allegation that damage exceeded $50,000. Judge Steven J. Kleinfield sentenced the 25-year-old San Jose State graduate to 10 months in county jail, 256 hours of graffiti removal and five years formal probation. But with time served and credits for work and good behavior, Yazdani was out of jail by Monday afternoon. Yazdani became something of an Internet sensation when he brazenly plastered his “Buket” bomb 20 feet above the busy Hollywood Freeway — vandalism captured on videotape and posted with a rap soundtrack on YouTube and numerous tagger-related blogs. Another daylight attack, which was also videotaped, appeared to show “Buket” applying his moniker to a Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus as passersby and passengers watched in surprise. Authorities allege that between 2005 and 2007, Yazdani slapped his tags on buses, freeway walls and overpasses as well as the concrete lining of the Los Angeles River. Los Angeles County sheriff’s investigators arrested Yazdani in May, saying that his moniker has marked hundreds of freeway overpasses, concrete walls and transit buses across the state and southern Nevada. He was believed responsible for upward of $150,000 in property damage along the Los Angeles River and in the areas patrolled by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department — and at least as much in other parts of California. Yazdani, who split time between Los Angeles and Las Vegas, where he was a graphic designer, already had been on probation after pleading no contest in 2007 to three counts of felony vandalism. Prosecutors had been seeking state prison time in the case, said Los Angeles County district attorney’s spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons. “We objected to the jail sentence believing this is a very serious case that caused a lot of damage, and we asked for a state prison sentence,” Gibbons said. “If the defendant is involved in this type of activity again, that’s exactly where he will end up,” she said.
