So many toys ruined (or hoarded and awaiting ruination).

 

these guys are getting harder and harder to find, and usually absolutely unaffordable. Thanks to an old timer, I was able to get these gems for basically retail. What a guy!

Not really sure it’s any worse out there than it ever was. Imagine people painting blank kougai now???? Common practice back in the day.

I have no idea, the seller said exclusively from shop show in the past.

 

I consider this a rescue mission, rather than a purchase... 'cause he is now freed from the bag!

Are these Shampoo tops?

 

No, they're similar to the boxed versions by Bandai 1985 but smaller. I'm not sure how they were originally packaged, I've only seen them loose.

 

@animator kindly agreed to do some spritzing on this brown healeymade shaman for me. Really love the details on the accessories and all the colors he picked, they work so well with the brown vinyl. Very happy with this figure. Thanks David!

@Kerk1 it’s a Hakata doll made in Fukuoka (formerly Hakata) by the Sato Hakata Doll Co. Year unknown, probably 50’s/60’s if I had to guess.

 

This was the first "regular size" RxH figure i owned. It gave me a taste of the RxH line in terms of feel and quality. I had the Shintosan, but this guy started it all for better or worse if i remember correctly. I remember this guy came with a comic. i need to find that.
