Now those are definitely an under-appreciated sculpt! I need to get a few more...particularly that black one (and the white one with polka dots on the back!).

I love that little squatter guy. The unpainted purple is especially nice. I picked up the white with black rub, but I'd like to see some other painted versions, or a clear with glow pour on the inside.

Do you mean from Charactics? I'm racking my head thinking which mini Matango had black based vinyl? Is there a new one on the way?

 

I think the last dark green Matango was actually sprayed over black vinyl, no? Don't know how Toygraph would have the test shot- maybe a gift?

They are still releasing mini Matangos through RM collaborations.

 

I think the sculptor for Toygraph sculpted some or all of the Charactics figures.

The earliest Charactics release was the Toygraph Gamera GID with a different head and base. So, there must be some connection between the two companies.

I saw it listed as a Toygraph sample in a sales email but didn't want to pay M's bumped up prices so checked Toygraph site and it was there
None of mine are are based on black vinyl so maybe a new version on the way? I'm waiting on an answer from TG as I'd like to know!

 

Exactly what I'm thinking. Yeah none of mine are black vinyl based either. Well as Daniel said RM has released the last two mini matango's by Charactics. I'm assuming they painted them. Maybe Toygraph is painting these? I'm hoping for something along the lines of the Black Painted one by M1 (purple/green). That would be nice.
