I'm watching the Big Bang theory, and one of the main characters was wearing this shirt- http://super7store.com/store/detail.php?item_id=11145 Thats pretty cool, is this s7's own design, or someone elses that the store simply carries? phil
Yep, I caught it too. I was like like "Hey wait up, that's an S7 shirt!!!" Cool indeed. I wonder if the guy even knew what it was, or if it was just random wardrobe they picked out.
Judging from how geek-culture savvy the writers are, along with the fact that it's not a shirt you can find at Wal-Mart or anywhere, I would have to say it wasn't just random (maybe not a nod to S7 proper, but definitely to the kaiju design).
I've seen Brian Posehn wearing the "Metal" shirt from S7, can't remember if it was while in an episode of the Sarah Silverman show he was on. I think it was, I don't watch really but remember catching a commercial.
Just got a couple texts about this as well as a call. Now we need to get screen captures! (for both BBT and BP) I assume someone associated with the show got it, glad to see they know the OG nerd stuff rather than fake versions bootlegged by a company that will go un-named. For Brian Posehn, Karen also worked at a comedy club p/t, and I think she hooked all those guys up - I know we told her it was cool to do so. I actually did a surrogate interview with Brian Posehn about metal for a friend's site a couple years ago - I feed her the questions and she asked him. I think he thought she was making fun of him, so he didn't really answer the questions well. I know both Dave Chapelle and Robin Williams got our original Bullshit hoodies from a few years ago. Back in the day, Iann Robinson used to rock us on MTV. We actually became good friends, and he still rocks our gear up in Boston. Good dude. Will Wheaton picked up a bunch of stuff at SDCC and so did Joanie from Happy Days. Wyatt on the daily show has a bunch of stuff too, he ordered online at the office of all places. There are a few others that have rolled through the store but Alex and Karen know better than I do.
We meet up with someone from Warner at SDCC. I have been hoping and watching all season one of the shirts would turn up and it finally did! Woot! Just for the record I actually like this show and have been watching it since the pilot episode. The writers know their geek speak. Here is a link to the scene: http://www.cbs.com/primetime/big_bang_t ... &play=true
Very cool! I'm a fan of the show and have been watching it since the 1st season. I'm hoping they have an epsidoe where they go to Comic Con as they have made several jokes about it this season!
Off the top of my head. Buzz osbourne is a regular and a very nice guy, Lupe Fiasco came in and we talked for a bit about the mook, members of Devotchka come in anytime they are in town, Louie perez of los lobos is a long time fan of the magazine and stopped by during the more the merrier show, De La Soul came in the first week I was here but I was at lunch. Oh and Dave Chappelle loves Rodan. If I think of anymore I will post them
