To everyone who stopped by SDCC, thanks a ton! The Skullbrain roll call was awesome, and it was wonderful to catch up in person. We had an absolute blast this year, even more than previous years, and it was great to see a lot of you that we only get to see once a year. Overall the response to this year's toys was even better than ever, with more and more people realizing that not all toys are junk. Almost all of our figures sold out, and those that did not are literally down to 5-15 pieces left, which means the moment they go up on line, they will be gone. I think it was pretty telling as you looked around SDCC with what was being offered that the passion for toys, and making sure to make the best product possible is lost on more than a few people. Overall, in case we did not tell you in person, we appreciate the support every single one of you have given us over the years, and continue to give us to this day. I honestly believe we are making some of the best toys we have ever made, and the difference between those concerned with the bottom line is more and more obvious not just to those of you that have been here all along, but those who wish for something better. As shown at SDCC, I would like to announce the expansion of Super7 with our second store in St. Petersburg, Florida, and Scott Dias and his lovely wife Lauren steeling themselves for the army of toy nerds about to descend into their lives. We are super excited about the new store, and look forward to seeing a bunch of you there in person. Additionally, we have some awesome toys in the works for later this year. I think everyone will be super excited, from the kaiju traditionalists, to the fans of many of the artists we have collaborated with in the past. Lastly, my apologies to those of you who came out to my Kotobukiya Jumbo presentation as I nervously stammered and sped through my slides faster than a 13 year old running to a Twilight signing. Wow, that was a train wreck. Thanks again to all of you, because you allow us to continue to make this hobby so much more than that. -brian
Thank you Brian! Super7 had the heat this year and it ruled. I'm already stoked about next year. Also, your Jumbo presentation was fine! I think most of us were really stoked to see some history and production notes on it. Don't beat yourself up, it was good! Now that guy up front posing with the guns, that was stupid!
Doesn't Alex look like he is saying "Hey girl, I got what you need right here. Just give me a chance" in this photo? Also, yes, Tokyo trip to coincide with a Halloween night show at Gargamel!
Big thanks to Super7 for another awesome SDCC. Definitely great releases this year all around. The new Monster Factory stuff brought a whole new crowd over. Great lineup of artist signings too. And thanks for letting me rest at the booth. Always fun to hang out behind the table and see people walk by. Thanks guys for letting me do extended visits to the booth. The S7 releases this year were really tasty. At the risk of sounding like an advertisement for S7 I'm crazy about all the Monster Family guys, the new Glow MB, Jade Mongolion, and glitter Ooze Bat with multi-colored beads inside.
All I can say is that Super7 is hell bent on world vynil domination this year. At this con, I truly felt a changing of the guard. Thank you Super7 and skullbrainers for letting me be a part of this.
you guys rule, thanks to Brian for the donated MB for wed dinner, I got one Every time I stopped by you were always with a smile and ready to help I want to go to S7 for the first time at the LS show later this year
S7 was great at SDCC! Very helpful, and they coordinated signings very well. They even brought the heat with great releases!
I had a freaking blast this year! Probably one of the best hands down. Brian, you and your staff really delivered. I got to meet a few SkullBrainers like Joe, Chad, Lamour, Datadub and Kirk. Alex, Josh, and Glenn did a great job, even through the heckling while I waited for my impromptu fill on my Ooze bat So thanks guys, you are a big part of the fun at SDCC.
always great to see the S7 guys. was great catching up with all of you. thanks for letting me chill and BS. my highlight was stumbling upon the signing of the disposable skateboard bible at S7 and meeting the legendary Sean Cliver. amazing stuff guys!
I too had a blast hangin' with the S7 Krew. I was stoked with the Sean Cliver appearance too! An unexpected bonus!
