So I see the initials or abbreviation "DX" a lot looking at these toys and others on YJA. What does it mean or stand for?
How about Kaiju and Kaijin? I thought Kaiju was a general term for vinyl or a style of vinyl. Then I find Kaijin...
to be 100% honest? i'm screwed on the whole hedorah and hedoran thing. but i know i'm not a hedoran fan.
Kaiju are giant monsters, like from the Toho movies. Kaijin are more human based monsters, like mutants from the TV shoes I guess. And DX is an abbreviation for deluxe, courtesy of ToyBoxDX's glossary.
My girlfriend said "kaiju" literally translates to "monsterous beast", thats sounds cool, MONSTEROUS BEAST!!!!!!!!
Hedorah is the real toho monster from the godzilla films. Hedoran looks a lot like Hedorah, but for all copyright issues is slightly different from Hedorah so that it can be made without a license. Kaiju means monster. DX meand deluxe. Usually used to refer to the Deluxe vs. Standard (ST) die-cast toys by popy and bandai. Geek and nerd can be used in place of each other at any time.
