Ah I finally get to ask a question in the LA forum...hehe I'm heading to LA in two weeks and I'm trying to figure out a few decent tshirt shops in one vicinity that we can hit up. Nothing too extravagant, just decent shirts with good designs would work. And aside from Span,...any other good JP shops I should check?
there was a sneaker/streetwear/toy store about every 2 feet along a certain stretch of Melrose. I'm not even exaggerating either. it seemed like there was at least 1 per block.
Go to La Brea (south of Melrose) and visit Union, Stussy, and Undefeated (all three in a row). Supreme is also close by on Fairfax.
let me know where you want to go and i'll show you all the cool spots! the coolest spot is on willoughby just east of fairfax!
Nice! Thanks guys! I'll be there from the 28th-1st, and i know Disneyland is on the agenda, but the rest is still TBD. i will keep y'all posted!
Hey, I think I know that spot!!!! I will be availabe for tour this time also. I only go away when Skylar and Missy are coming I recommend locally: Supreme Stussy Union Undefeated Munky King Kid Robot (c'mon, u know u want to go there) Brooklyn Projects Slightly further afield: Johnson Motors + Bispop Mixi-Bang
as far as tee shirt places go, melrose is full of vintage, aka expensive second hand crap, shirts. Streetwear stuff: Brooklyn Projects Barracuda Supreme Union UNDFTD Stussy GreyOne in Pasadena im sure im forgetting some
awesome! mixi bang and johnson motors are possible as I think we'll be spending a night or two in pasadena. i'll let you guys know which day we'll be shopping and stuff.
Would have been nice to come down this weekend. The big Gama Go clearance event is this Saturday at Mixi-Bang in Pasadena.
yeah i got the email about that. this trip is more of a holiday/meet my boyfriend's family/see LA for the first time trip...which is why it's planned around New Year's
gamma-go sale was excellent... did some xmas shopping & cheap! didn't get there in time to see the one off stuff they had though.
Anyone know if Mixibang is getting sloppy-seconds from the SF gamago holiday sale? Not that I mind sloppy-seconds or anything. Just wondering.
well... i caught the end of the sf sale, and i asked if i missed anything cool, and the guy said most of the stuff that sold out was just some wallets and one-offs. they still had cases upon cases of stuff at the end.
so it looks like i may not be able to hang with you guys. we've got so much going on, but at the moment nothing is really planned for New Years Eve during the day.. if i don't see you all this go round...we'll be back in San Diego in July.
