7 inch vinyl super robot Steel Jeeg made 197? (Kotetsu Jeeg) Wikipedia says the TV anime originally aired on the NET network which is also the only english text on this figure's sticker. There is another figure on Flickr that looks very similar and the owner says it was made by Onda in 1975
Funny how he *towers* over the magnemo. Weird that Onda didn't just go for the established "mini" scale on this one: seven inches is kinda neither here nor there. Bandai released a bunch of robot vinyls in standard scale (well, maybe a bit beefier at 9+ inches), but this guy is right in between that and your average minis. Oh well...watermelon-robot still kicks much ass!
that bootleg is damn sweet- looks like it was made by same shadow company as vintage dokuroman figures
Good eye, man! Thanks for pointing that out. I'll get a good photo of the card when I open this guy up and I'll be sure to post it here.
I got this Jeeg a few years ago for $12.97 BIN! I had posted it in the vintage section under a "tricycles" thread. The tires look similar to the ones from the Henshin Cyborg Cycle Rider, only smaller.
This one is about a Micronaut head taller than a Micronaut. Looks like the yellow chest piece comes out to separate the body at the waist. This piece spins on mine but I can't figure out how to remove it. Figured I better take some pictures before I go breaking it trying. The right arm trigger is siezed too.
