I'm guessing maybe the English part was just their instructions from their normal sales and didn't get changed for this lottery? Their banner ad clearly stated it was a lottery.

Eh - who knows? I've actually had pretty good luck in acquiring these after the fact - hopefully that remains true with this version!

Fun figure. Clear sticker belt is a nice touch. Paint job is typical Star Case though. He totally Patchi!

But the combination of the Kikaider tribute, clear vinyl and inserts really makes this fella a crazy fun toy.

 

Ah cool, I was about to ask what you meant by the 'typical' starcase paintjob. I thought you may be referring to the fact that one of the past releases seemed to have paint that scuffed easily (at least that's what I think I once read somewhere)... if it's only bad in the sense that it sucks from a technical pov it's good!

 

Long time, no post. Was just clued into this stuff by a local NYC collector. This really blows my mind! Not just the neo revival, but the fact the bootleg toys existed to begin with.
