Thourght Id' recommend a good spray paint brand, for those in doubt, or who need to know. In all the 25 years I have been painting graffiti, there has been one can of paint, that stand out. "Marabu" "DO IT" (150ml. Buntlack) is the king of cans! Such a plesure to work with, and it cover the surface like a dream. It is twice the price, of a "normal" can (400ml.) but the quality speak for it self. I highly recommend it. However please, read instructions before use, as some spray paint can have a damagin efect, on some type of plastic and other material. Peace out!
For a "cap" I would recommend the best there is, a "New yorker"! It's a small cap with a black dot. Hold it in perfect posission, and the paint dot will be the size of a 1 dollar. Perfect allround cap, and cost next to nothing, at your local graff shop. Peace out
What the hell is this thread about? Try wearing a respirator, Wait you have painted graffiti for 25 years? Too Late. Best paint for graffiti = anything that is free. Best cap= Rusto Fat. What does this have to do with vinyl toys= NOTHING!!
For costumising, I see alot of spray being used here. Rusto fat, sure if you got some shit paint for free, and have like 25 min. in the yard. Nice talking to you Mildred, still I chouse to post whatever I please, no offence, just a believer of freedom of speach. Peace out bro.
Well, this is the "Whatever" section. Nothing here has anything to do with vinyl toys. And Rune - most of the "spray paint" is done via airbrush. Although it sounds like people like Bwana use to use actual spray paint. But we've all seen, or heard about, how that turns out...
I'm not too much of a fan of the texture spray paint gives a toy, but Martin Ontiveros does some amazing things with it.
Yeah Martin does some good work laying down base coats sometimes with nice fades using spray. Of course he always primes his toys all over so their more canvassy to suit his painting style. He does the same thing with the spray paint on 2D art as well and it always looks good. Of course the thing that sets Martin apart is his amazing brushwork!
I can tell you in general Monster kolor paint rocks! I use it all the time to paint but through my air brush. I just havent tried their spray cans yet..
I use airbrush too, however I use "schminke", but that is not metallic paint. Im going monster kolor next time I order new paint.
