Hey everyone! I'm putting on a show at the Rooftop Art Space, at the Rooftop Cinema and Bar in Melbourne, Australia The show will open April 4th and run for a month Ive just made the Facebook group for it and would love you all to check it out https://www.facebook.com/events/389750561200132/ The show will exhibit pieces from my collection in prop miniature garden settings. As well as the pieces from my collection a handful of really incredible artists have made the decision to help me introduce sofubi to Melbourne and will be submitting pieces for sale I'm relatively new to the sofubi scene and I'm wildly warmed by how open and helpful all of the artists have been in helping me get this off the ground, so a huge thanks to all! (a very pleased) Jack
I need to find something I know fuck all about, put on a show and have guys send me a bunch of free shit! . . . wait, did I say that out loud!

There is a second announcement coming this monday with a few more seriously awesome artists joining the list. Ill keep this thread updated
I live nowhere near Australia, but I'll be watching from afar. Most excited to see what Bwana will be bringing, maybe a new Brodarr teaser... hmmmm
Hey Scobot! There will be a couple of pieces from Bearmodel and Bullmark etc, but mostly recent pieces I'm as excited as you are hellointerloper! Whatever Bwana does it'll be incredible! There "might" (wink wink) be an event shirt available to overseas customers that can't make the show - featuring art by the man himself - amongst others!

Nice line up!! Can't wait to see the photos from the show! And to echo ^^^ no left over online sales?
Sorry! Should have been more detailed!! "Initial Sales" are only available to those in attendance on opening night. Sales will then be open for the duration of the exhibition (4th of April - 2nd of May), only in person at the art space Any left overs after this time will become available online Jack
^^ based on the artists, the likelihood of leftovers even being available will be slim to none haha. With that being said, congrats on rounding up a great group of artist. This show looks like it'll be a lot of fun.
Thanks heaps Danny! Unfortuntely for my buddies overseas - I think you might be right It's a fantastic thing though - to be able to provide Aussie collectors with the opportunity to purchase these kinds of pieces Either way, I hope you'll enjoy the photos etc!! And if there are any tee shirts left over they will be on sale online after opening night
Being a rooftop gallery, hopefully there will be no sun damage to the toys over the month or so that they're on display...
Don't sweat the sun The perspex in the boxes is inherently UV resistant. On top of this, the boxes will be shaded, and everyone purchasing pieces on the night will have the option of having their pieces UV guarded further
Hey everyone!! Check out the Facebook event page "Soft Vinyl Garden: Rooftop Sofubi Show" For an interview i did with TAN about the show and soft vinyl in general
I can't speak for everyone, but for the 90's generation it's our main avenue of communication. I have friends who would rather Facebook message to communicate over texting. And forget calling... I never make phone calls except to doctors and businesses. It's either I talk face to face, or I use text. Phone calls are a weird in-between that I absolutely can't stand. Anyway, enough about the habits of 20-something year old nobodies like me, haha. Back to sofubi.
I've seen a few photos from a fellow collector, but not very many. They were just of various pieces, no layout or anything like that.
