    love this cartoon its on netflix streaming but i still had to own it a def favorite... if i remember correctly joeman collects the toys so hes a fan too

    Not too long ago I rewached the Robotech saga for the first time since I was 12 or so. I was really impressed by how good the original Macross storyline was, and how philosophical. When I hit the Southern Cross series, it was a bit of a letdown. Turning protoculture into energy goo really took the magic out of the story in my book. I still enjoyed the mechs, and the later Invid storyline was still fun with the transforming motorcycles. But the original Macross really shines through as the best.

    I haven't re-watched Star Blazers. That show hold a unique place in my memory from when I was 5 or 6, and I'll be damned if I'm going to ruin any of my memories with the taint of reality. Yes, I said taint.

    didn't think it would happen but while digging thru amazon I ran into silver hawks volume 2! finally! gonna get the second half of my fix :twisted:

    I'm not going to lie, born in 85 means I'm young enough that I had NO CHANCE of seeing the show it's first time around, but in 94/95 Cartoon Network was playing it. The show started about 10 minutes before I got out of school, and every day I would literally run home for it. This meant I got to watch the final scene, end credits, and "next time on Robotech" :lol:

    The stuff I'm actually watching now is Young Justice, Regular Show, Adventure Time and the occasional older show. As a kid I loved classic Looney Toons, Merry Melodies, Tom & Jerry, Popeye, Hannah Barbara, etc. Even though I was obviously into the late 80's & early 90's shows, I still can't get away from those classics. I'm thankful that Boomerang still airs the goods. Gatchaman is also worth revisiting from time to time.

    I cannot express how unhappy this URL will make my girlfriend, now that I know of it. I've had it on for almost 2 hours now :oops:
