Anyone ever use something like Silly Putty to mask off areas of an object when airbrushing? I was just curious to hear if the paint thinner would melt the Putty...

awesome idea Loco, I say take a small piece of putty and spray it seperately and wait for a reaction. Let us know.

Sounds killer but i'd be afraid of the lack of a crisp line where you want your paint to stop-My personal experiences doing flame jobs on bikes are that vinyl masking works the best but hey I'm def open to new ideas!!

You could use liquid masking solution.

Just lay it on thick, and don't buy on the cheap (I've learned from experience, ruining an otherwise great, almost complete paint-up with a botched liquid mask  )- go with Mold Builders. It's the best.
