Thanks Zinc! And Jay, those are some great shots - love General Bemon standing up front of his army, signaling to attack! Here's a profile shot of a guy with a big horn I took yesterday:
My first attempt at a glow group shot. This is as good as im going to get with my current camera/lighting.
Great photos everyone! Just wondering, do toys lose their glow over time? Should you "charge" them once in a while? And would using a blacklight affect them vs. just regular lights?
I'm not sure if they lose their glow, but I doubt it. Whenever I take a photo, I 'charge' them, just to get a nice strong glow. Not sure about a blacklight, never tried it, but imo regular do the job good!
Thanks to popping into a halloween store today I'm now officially armed with: A) Blacklight B) Tripod C) New Camera. This could mean I finally attempt some glow shots!
Argghh I still suck at this. I have no real manual over rides on my camera. So had to use ISO 80, Exposure time +2, with a tripod of course. Still get noise though and no clarity what so ever. Tried a group shot but it barely would show up unless I was really close which defeated the shot.
i know big sal isn't the most liked toy in the monster family, and the paint on this glow big sal isn't my favorite, but it's used sparingly and the glow seems extra-strong, so it looks great in the dark!
The joys of trying to find the right balance... Got very sleepy halfway through, but here's what came out. Damn do the Seijin, Mini Dragamel, Damaged Brain and Nano glow! All unpainted toys I guess...
Interesting I didn't even know they made kaws mini companion keychains...looks like they glow brightly.
Thanks. The blue one glows like crazy... The keychains look great by themselves once you remove the metal bits...
