This is newly published by Drawn and Quarterly.
I picked it up today at the MoCCA fest.

I was pretty excited about it, and they informed me that GeGeGe no Kitaro is currently in translation.
So if you've been downloading free shit on the net, give Mizuki his due.

You got an early copy then . . . i've been waiting for this one to drop. I read 'Onward Towards Our Noble Deaths' and enjoyed it quite a bit.

Speaking for myself I will be buying anything of Mizuki's they publish along with anymore Gekiga manga they release too. Yoshihiro Tatsumi's work has made it to paperback so it must be selling well :D

Drawn and Quarterly is doing the english localization.

I met with Tom Devlin, the Creative Director and he told me quite a bit about the Mizuki work pipeline.
Including that the Kitaro manga translation work was on his laptop right behind the table.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll be buying one of these. I wish they'd get around to releasing more translated Gegege.

Awesome news! I have picked up several GeGeGe books from Japan; though I can't read them the art and story are great enough. I also enjoyed Onwards, though I found some of the panel transitions a bit disorienting. I'll definitely be making regular visits to the D&Q store in Montreal now.

Just to be clear, you can buy it right now on the Drawn & Quarterly site.
Or if you're in NYC today - go by the MoCCA fest and pick it up in person.
