I say any size gargamel figure you want to paint besides pocket minis. His Fight Figures and Kaiju-bootleg minis are about the same size (think Bullmask standing next to Deathra).

#9 and #10 are here (actually its been about a week) and I finally got some pictures (work was rough) so everything is here, and the random selection has happened. For those keeping score, I ended up KaijuKaijuKaiju! KiLL!'s sweet Skullbrain (#3).

With luck, I'll be spending my Labor Day packing up all these guys and they'll be in the mail on Tuesday.

That being said, its been fun! I hope everyone else enjoyed themselves and likes the figures they get. Joe's just started a Gargamel swap and it looks like a good turnout so far- I hope I end up with a Mini Bakobas. Hopefully we can do another Secret Base Swap in the future if anyone is interested. Maybe in a couple months time, maybe after the holidays or something. LMK what you all think, I'd be down to MC SB Swap #2- I'll always down for painting some base!

and this mash up has to be just the sickest piece (all IMO), great job on this one, from the different gloves, to the paint and detail. A really well rounded custom.



I am not taking anything away from the rest of the customs as they are all fantastic, these are just the pieces that speak to me.

heya everyone- sorry this is so late, I've been a bum and am still in the process of packing/mailing. Real life has been beating me down into a pulp recently. I'll be finishing up this weekend I promise.

I got mine in the mail today too, I got toybotstudio's brain and couldn't be more happier. It looks good online, but incredible in real life. Thanks to toybot for the brain, and especially thanks to hellopike for putting this together (and for the little plushie). Now I really can't wait for the gargamel trade and the evil trade!

actually, now that I look twice, I got 2 plushies in my box, so if someone is missing their's I'll be happy to send it in the mail to you! The plushie thing makes the trade that much cooler!

 

Haha...glad you like it Manimal. Sorry its a little dusty. It took me a bit of trial and error to mix that red. Its not a straight red color but a mix of silver and green to deepen it....then finished off with a bit of sparkly clear coat.
plushie? now I can't wait to get my box.

 

bert - the way i see it the "dust" kinda does give it a metal texture to it - i have never owned a Frank before and its fun to hold feelin' all rough in spots - I have decided to start a "customs shelf" for all these swaps we al lare doing - proudl yaddin the ironman frank to the shelf!

 

That texture is more from the clear coat. I probably didn't shake the can enough. When I sprayed it, it seemed fine. When I picked it up, that's when I felt the texture. It is the same clear coat that I've used in past paint jobs so I'm not sure why it came out the way it did. Still...I'm glad you like it. It really is a lot simpler than most of the other figures I've painted.

 

glad to hear they are arriving at the homes of their new owners! I told you I'd get them all out eventually. =)

I was glad to do it, and would do it again in a heartbeat. I hope for a bigger turnout on all the next swaps, especially the next secret base one. =) But lets get through the simultaneous swaps running now before we talk about another.
