Not sold on em, vocals are poor (no offense to those with a deviated septum) and the gimmick/attempt to be amusing doesn't work well. and I like gin
the concept of a satanic straight edge group seems odd to me. it's kinda like christian black metal. i'm not saying that satanic folk can't be straight edge, i just always figured they didn't give a shit about nothing, including wether or not to consume alcohol/doin' drugs.
right. seems counterproductive huh? christian metal has always been funny as hell to me. evil, destruction and compassion don't often work together.
I know a few straight edge kids who consider themselves satanists. Tony of CSR/never enough/daybreak is one of them. I think it pretty much falls right into the ideaology of satanism. I think people are still really confused about what straight edge is.
It makes total since that this band would be from cleveland. I didn't think too much of the songs on the site but I would definatley see them live.
Whos Pat Dunbar this style does sound similar, damn I grew up hangin out with dudes playin this sorta stuff. So to me it all sound similar, but thats the point isn it?
No but the songs are actually rip offs, like their name, it's not just a similar style, but they're like take offs of Minor Threat songs. They're like a Satanic hardcore Weird Al or something.
I thought was a bit strange/weak with the "satanic threat" name. But its so bloody obvious. Weird Al hard corecore, lol. They do it well though.
I love how some people say they don't like it and they get headaches...believe me..I know this ain't everyone's cup of tea! Then you have hardcore fanatics like me who just love this. I can see the pit forming now...
Not to give these guys slag for trying but there are far better examples of tardcore/goofcore or whatever you wanna call it. Anal Cunt, Sockeye, Crucial Youth and 7000 Dying Rats come to mind..
