Long time lurker, first time poster, relatively new Secret Base fan, etc... (and yes I did try searching here for the answer) Which figures have been released so far in the 'Respect' series. I have Coke and Tiffany's but wonder how many others are out there.
there is also the b-man (batman) skullbrain. i think that was released in the 'respect' series... http://www.flickr.com/photos/toybotstudios/423856634/ (image jacked from toybot's flickr archive)
Thanks for the quick answers! I thought for sure there'd be a half dozen others. Looks like my credit card balances won't be hit too hard after all to fill in the set..
80;s saterday morning cartoons he man smurfs thundercats gi joe all using the old sheet for the inserts
and for the he-man (even though sort of done with the whole skeletor set) and thundercats need to have the hand arms instead of the boxing gloves, so they can come with the powersword for he-man and the sword of omens for tc. i don't think i'd dig a g.i. joe one, since it would probably end up being camo. unless it was cobra-esque. and the smurfs one needs to be a collab with gargamel...
pffft, it would have to be Cobra, and then they could have the skullbee head in the middle of the Cobra hood. That would be awesome.
who's Tiffany anyway? The only tiffany i can think of is that 80's pop singer who did the remake of 'i think we're alone now.'
actually, i think the bagman would work great with this scheme. solid blue bag, clear body w/ blue and black spray & g.i. joe plush. and the forehead of the bag needs a red cobra symbol. but not painted on, it should be a sticker decal like all the old joe toys....
Haha, didn't think of that. Yeah, that would be amazing They could also always do a Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow set, solid white and solid black bagmen, with the fonts on the back spelling out secret base or something of that nature. all old 80's toys could inspire about a million colorways.
OK, well since the Respect series is Coke, Tiffany and Co, and Batman. Just make the bagman part of a different series. The Terrordome set or something like that?
That would be acceptable. But putting another sculpt in the Respect series would mess it all up according to the way my brain works. But it seems that the Respect series ended unceremoniously at 3, or 2 if BMAN isn't part - it shouldn't be in my mind, so it's already a messed up series so I guess you can add your imaginary Bagman and mess it up even more!
the batman brain isn't part of the respect series, or the "we love" series as it is listed in the mook. just the coke & tiffany so far...
I've gotta say, the b-man being part of the 'respect' series seems a little odd to me, too. Coke and Tiffany's are Capitalist/Consumerist Icons whereas Batman is..well...it's a character in books and movies. Whatever.
