Kinda pumped right now, got the last Yellow release from Death Waltz after passing on an offer earlier and regretting it and the last Wolfe/King Dude 7" despite missing the Poltergeist release.
anyone know what the mystery split 7" is? our local record shop had a stack of "?" labeled records in black sleeves. also, if anyone ended up with an extra deep purple/type o-negative split, please let me know. much appreciated!
Ahahahahahahahahahhhahahaahahaaaahaa a ha ha ahaa... whew I ended up going - but struck out on the Gza chess set. However, I was able to get the Mad Season LP - pretty happy about that. I was mainly picking it up for "old times sake", but I'm listening to it right now and I'm really liking it (again). I've always liked Layne Staley's voice. Also picked up original pressings of Dark Side of the Moon and Zappa's Grand Wazzo for $12 each in very good condition.
I got a bunch of weird stuff 1. Dazed and Confused soundtrack 2 LP on weed colored vinyl with gatefold, hand numbered 2. Cheech and Chong Earache My Eye 7-inch on translucent green vinyl 3. King Dude split 7-inch 4. Soundgarden 10-inch Demos on opaque pink vinyl with download card 5. Joan Jett and the Black Hearts, opaque yellow vinyl, enhanced CD, download card, hand numbered I could not find the 1. Ides of Gemini 7-inch 2. Altas Moth/Wolvhammer split 7-inch So what version of the Misfits song Skulls is on the 7-inch with The Lemonheads?
I picked up a lot of stuff, but the only RSD specific stuff I bought was the No Alternative LP, and the Nobunny 7" collection of Love Visions. I kind of regret both since I already own them in other formats! haha. I fell victim to the hype!
I wanted the No Alternative LP, but couldn't find it I'll stick with my CD, before I pay those dumb Ebay prices!
Aaaaaaaaaaaaand thanks to some solid help from someone in Europe I got hooked up with the Bride of Frankenstein 7" on blood red for cost + shipping to the States. According to Reckless Records FB they DID get the Drive Pic disc on RSD and sold out. I contacted a few other joints around my house. 1 place seemed confused saying "no that was canceled" and another said it's coming this week still, they'll tweet about it.
For $100+ so I'll just wait and see if my local shop can hook it up for regular price, like $30 right?
Just like toys Folks buy, just to flip Also, some of the RSD items are too pricey right out of the gate! I like that Drive LP, but I don't think that I would pay $30 for it.
Id pay in the 30-50 range, I really like the soundtrack and this being a picture disk makes it worth it to me. But until then Ill just stick with whats on my ipod.
Stoked that I was able to find the Casket Girls EP for retail plus shipping! I was told that only one record store in KY got it and they only received one copy.
