This was one hell of a job the paint. The head is glued together. Taking it apart with out tearing it was painstaking !
This is by far the best lookin Rebel Ink I've seen,it's a damn shame that there's only one...Beautiful work as alway's Rich.
Rich whatever mixture of red you're using- keep doing it. The metallic 'racing' red is an insane color. Brilliant!
Not the first Rebel Ink custom...and for some reason, the others that I know of are also red. I've always talked about it but never did it cause I'm not sure what color to paint my Rebel Ink. After seeing the others, I know not to make a red one All the Rebel Ink customs I've seen have been really nice. One day, I'll paint mine. I know what I'm going to do with the shoes...and that's about as far as I got...hahahahaha. I'm glad you mentioned the head being glued on. The only criticism I have is that I wish you would have kept the print on the back...or put something of your own.
I just checked this guy out on your blog...just amazing as usual LASH! Love the red metallic, and the brush details. Thanks!
lol,I had no clue DP did one I could have layed my logo on the back, but I like it better without and design. I may do another in the future, if I do it will be all out madness. This one though is clean and mean ")
You can hardly see it but in the back shot you can see that the little piece on the back is also white. For some reason they remind me of the old school Jordon's.
Hah... no, I like the red version. But if I had done one, it would probably have looked more like DP's version...except for all that doodling on the back. Still seems to have absolutely nothing to do with the figure and looks like gratuitous pin striping to me. But I'm glad people are coming to their senses and realizing that custom red figures are tops.
I love the red. I actually think it would have looked so awesome if you left the head and bandanna the way it is but the rest of the body was the same red. I think that would have be insane looking and would have fit in with the first two mono releases. Everything after the first two versions weren't that great and i've seen those up for sale so much compared to the first two. I just hate the gangsta pants..in general.
Lash whoever sold you Mike L. Jordons back in the day ripped you off , this whole custom reminds me of the old jordans, classic and well done. I like how deep the color is, looks like a bowling bowl.
