^^^ I am working on it, but not sure I room anyplace for them to all be displayed together, and the time I would put into arranging has been going to picture taking lately. Definitely in the works though! For now here is another random Marmit:
^ Thats Bagun correct? Never knew Marmit did a version of him as well. The blue rub brings out the details nicely.
Yeah, that's Bagun "B" as they call him. They released him, their version of Zag, and a Dogu all with simple rubs, at the same time or in close succession.
Ah ok. I've seen their Zag versions occasionally. First time I've seen the Bagun from them. Now to go google Dogu Edit- Oh the clay doll/ ancient alien thingy. Also very nicely sculpted.
Not newbies, but took these guys out for some fresh photos. Love the Marmit Woo, but hate that I have so few of them. Anybody want to help out?
Yep, they have this 'one-eyed' Woo from Ultraman Ace, as well as the 'no-eye' version from Ultra Fight. All eyes awesome.
So many Marmit Woo's floating around in kaiju world. They did another version of one eye last year: Marmit Woo by Beautification Syndrome, on Flickr
That's one of my favorite Garamons! I picked up the unpainted glowie ages ago and "ruined" it by slapping glow paint all over it! LOL http://www.collectiondx.com/toy_review/ ... _bank_glow
That is really nice Sanjeev, amazing in fact. I need you to "ruin" some toys for me!! I was wondering about so many of these great glow colours in your collection shots, I had no idea that you did them yourself. I am now sated with the knowledge, and in even greater admiration of them. PS - I know it is from a while back now, but what is that Chibull artwork? Can you dig around in those cells to remember who did it? Looks really cool, even if it is just peeking through.
Heh...thanks, Steve! Yeah, it was real fun to do that (and the few others I've done). It's a totally different process from airbrushing, of course...it's all masking and aerosol-spraying. Did you mean that tshirt that Corey ("cae") made ages ago? That's the one featuring the M1 glowie surrounded by other non-glow toys. That's the only Chibull art I can think of...
Yeah, I guess that is it. I didn't realise it was a tee, because it looks pretty massive compared to the size of the silkscreen. Great work Corey!
Dang...I just checked his cafepress store and it looks like he's not offering it anymore. Of course, you could always PM him or contact him through the store to see if he could bring it back... Still, he's got PLENTY of dope kaiju-toy-inspired gear available immediately!
This guy is another one of my favourite Marmit figures. Again, an early Vinyl Paradise one, which for me are some of the best Marmits made. Not only is the sculpt really amazing, on nice blue vinyl with excellent paint, but this guy is huge, topping out at just over a whopping 11 inches! The legs seem to be a bit wonky, as they aren't bent, but one is actually fairly longer than the other. Anybody else have this problem? I kind of like his akilter pose though.
Gotta agree with you about the Vinyl Paradise line, I too love the funky retro look on many of the sculpts. Here is the VP grey version of Jet Jaguar, perhaps not as "akilter" ... a hair dryer might be able straighten him up bit.
Ah, great to see the long lost grey brother. I have tried the hair dyer trick. It works to straighten the legs out, but since the whole piece itself seems somehow cut too short I don't think there is anything to do about it. As I am sure you know from yours, the joints on the legs are kind of odd, so it is hard to tell what is going on inside, but I couldn't easily pull it out anymore either.
