I had Mos Burger for dinner! They actually have some pretty decent vegetarian food and great iced tea!
I have a weakness for the food carts over in the park near the train station . octopus puffs on a stick is like tokyo corndogs man.
the only thing I cant handle are the chicken gristle things at the yakitori joint. evrything else=pretty darn tasty.
whenever I go I just eat everything they shove at me and rarely ask questions. I may have eaten that I dont know.
Every time I go out with my friends there it turns into a game of "let's see what the gaijin will eat." So far I've eaten raw horse and whale cutlet, but passed on the prawn compelte with legs and eyes.
My wife loves to eat the fish cheeks........ I find them hard to eat with that white eyeball staring at you.........
You can halibut cheeks by the pound when in season, just the cheeks, no head. Makes great tempura or bouillabaisse.
if i ever get over to japan i gotta try the raw frog's heart. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_4wqZvC378&mode=related&search=
my mom and grandfater likes the fish cheek and sucks the eyeballs... sorta grosses me out when they eat that
Cheeks are the tastiest part. I've eaten live lobster and shrimp but I don't know what else I'd eat that was still alive.
no. but my mom did say she tried balut just last week or so and said it wasn't too bad.... i can't get myself to try it she cooks frog once in awhile.. stuff is cool, it's muscles start pulsing when you put some salt on it... better that chicken
