i've been picking a few of these up lately (nothing super rare i'm guessing by the great prices), but a form of addiction is forming. i'd like to make a mental want list that will never be fulfilled. does anyone have a full list of the barom-1 characters released by rainbow? pictures are more than welcome!
i just got my first rainbow figure the other day, and it is my favorite toy i own. such awesome quality.
totally! i got a urokoruge last week, my hanegeruge today, and furankeruge on its way. the quality is top notch! my hanegeruge doesn't like to stand up without tipping back, but the open wing span makes him a back shelf lurker, so he can lean a bit. i love the wackiness of the barom-1 characters, and want more! i also want the show on dvd. i youtubed a few clips here and there and it is totally my style of show!
One reference: http://nzx.moo.jp/yybbs/yybbs.php?mode=image Unfortunately, I am unaware of any subtitled Barom-1 episodes. If they were produced, like Inazuman was, I would pay for them.
additional character/series reference: http://www.henshinhalloffame.com/ i dont know of an online reference for the rainbow vinyls, though.
The first one was released about a month or two ago. Dark colours. There's a second that will probably be released around the time of the upcoming Antmen sets.
The mummy is actually called Miiraruge. The two monsters still in the prototype phase (sculped but not painted) are Okozaruge (sting fish demon) and Mayugeruge (catterpillar demon). They were shown at Wonderfestival in flesh vinyl. I'll add pics later on today. They could also produce a Mister Doruge and of course the hero himself... This is still a mystery...
As promised, here are the 2 protos shown at Rainbow's booth. Mayugeruge is already one of my favourite from the line. Okozaruge Mayugeruge
I like the organicness (is that a word?) of the Mayugeruge. Love how the arms jut out of the front of the head. Would love to see them uncrossed.
everything is crazy here. i like how the nose looks like an upside down broken heart......or maybe it is an upside down broken heart?
Rainbow rules... also, I would imagine that a Barom-1 figure would be a perfect end to the series, right?!?
Oh these turned out nice. Is the short guy a prickly-pear? Some kind of exotic fruit or vegetable. Huh?
Did anyone ever got to read or see the orininal manga from Takao Saito ? I'd curious to know if any one the monster in it looks at all like the kaijus in the serie - and if some got made into toys at the time.
