I'll give 'em the benefit of the doubt. They made such asses of themselves in that movie (which actually, when viewed from an objective POV, is sort of...um...touching) that I think it's fair to call it a clean slate and see what's what.

The Wiki for the album goes on and on about 'return to form' and '8 minute songs' and all that. I think as long as they fix the sound of the goddamned snare drum, there's half the problem right there.

Don't get me wrong: I wouldn't take the bet that it'd be good. But, for their sake, and mine, I hope it is.

O and PS: I really have never understood why Pus is good enough to do their t-shirts and singles but not their album covers. That's some lame shit. He'd knock it out of the park.

P.P.S. Though I guess the last one was sort of art directed to death and more earth 'chipping' than 'shattering'. OH well.

Yeah - OK for a clean plate.
Aside from that documentary, I have'nt give them any attention after their black album. For me - that killed it.

Over the years, each time Pushead produced a drawing for them - it made me scatch my head - the money must have been good.

probably the only redemptive visual representation of the band. Back to form? Let Pushead rock the cover like it was 1986. That and Rick Rubin are a definite start.

Sometimes I wonder about that. If he stayed with us, I gotta feeling Lars and James are such complete douches he'd quit or get kicked and the rest of the bands history would be the same.

I'll listen to the new album JUST because of Rubin, but I still bet it sucks. Rubin produced Slipknot, and though he's a fine producer, in the end it's up to a band just being a pile or suck or not.

anyone who says anything past "And justice" is anything but dog shit is delusional. Oh wait unless you like snare drums sounding like tin cans.

For the record I liked the artwork for st anger though.

i remember when i was in high school and looking at a drum catalog. lars' snare was 600bucks, and i told my friend that i could go buy a tin can for a quarter.

the last Sutfin update. I saw more dragons in Sutfin's lair and I gotta say that I didn't think he could paint any more dragons cooler than the ones we have seen so far but I was wrong....
