ok I got some clues on this. Someone is saying that are sending refunds. let me know if you guys don't get them soon. they did say it could take a while.
Yeah, its been 20 days here and nothing. I have had an open dispute moved up to a paypal claim as well. I knew pretty early on that something was not right. Also, sending out false US Postal tracking numbers makes this fraud a federal offence. If I was him, I would be refunding as fast as I could before someone starts feeling letigious.
You know what. I'm tired of fooling around. I'm heading to my local assistant US attorneys office tommorrow morning to report this thief for mail fraud. Once I have a case number I will forward it on to those who would also like to do the same.
I want to post that this was a scam. Everyone that was involved needs to put a complaint in to ebay. We need to show that people can't be scamming people on this site.
Wow this sucks.. so the guy was using ebay for the scam though? thats alot easier to track and catch him with.. as opposed to the madness over at KR
Here is the list of auctions: http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?V ... d=hdlvrfxr 110081202753 Jan-18-07 Jan-18-07 17:31:47 PST $300.00 PUSHEAD FUDGE DAMNEDRON W/POSTER RUMBLE MONSTERS KAIJU Private (*) 110081203396 Jan-18-07 Jan-18-07 17:33:32 PST $300.00 PUSHEAD FUDGE DAMNEDRON W/POSTER RUMBLE MONSTERS KAIJU Private (*) 110083964600 Jan-25-07 Jan-25-07 10:08:00 PST $250.00 PUSHEAD FUDGE DAMNEDRON NEW, MINT RUMBLE MONSTERS KAIJU Private (*) 110083964857 Jan-25-07 Jan-25-07 10:08:25 PST $250.00 PUSHEAD FUDGE DAMNEDRON NEW, MINT RUMBLE MONSTERS KAIJU Private (*) 110083964318 Jan-25-07 Jan-25-07 10:56:02 PST $250.00 PUSHEAD FUDGE DAMNEDRON NEW, MINT RUMBLE MONSTERS KAIJU Private (*) 110084355532 Jan-26-07 Jan-26-07 08:22:52 PST $300.00 PUSHEAD FUDGE DAMNEDRON W/POSTER RUMBLE MONSTERS KAIJU Private (*) One clue for trouble is that they were listed as Private auctions. Another is that they were limited up to $200 protection from PayPal unlike the normal $2000. As I mentioned earlier, if you paid PayPal with your credit card, you are fully protected for the total amount paid by your credit card. Do a reverse charge to your credit card company first and not to PayPal - i.e. cut out the middle man. And as Stealthtank mentioned, file a complaint with your local postmaster giving them the fake confirmation number so that potential fraud using the USPS Postal Service can be investigated. Good luck !
Quick catch up (I can put links if you want). Kid says house burned down. People start sending donations. Turns out no fire, kid owed a bunch of people toys from sales and was cashing in, and using mult Ids to run raffles. This week kid running raffles (which KR should've never allowed, but even the mods ran them and helped pick numbers so they are super involved) was using multiple Id's to enter his own raffles and win, using his gfs paypal account. Kid got caught with an IP scan, refunded peoples money, and now all the hippies think people should leave him alone. Wirefraud.. etc etc.. I think they should nail these kids to the wall.
DAMN! FUCK SCAM PEOPLE! worse than flippers. SCAM PEOPLE, IF YOU ARE READING THIS, KNOW THAT I WILL NOT LET THIS KIND OF SHIT GO DOWN HERE! If I ever hear about a scam happening to people here I will track you down and sort you out.
woah...so that kid who lost all of his shit ina fire on KR was a sheister? A grifter?!!? And that's the same dude who fucked over everyone with these DAMS? WHAT A PIECE OF SHIT!!!
I was screwed. Only got 200.00 back from the 300.00 I paid and no fudge damn. The guy (jared baggins) will no longer return any emails or phone messages. Definitely takes the wind out of your sales as a collector.
I'm sorry people, especially RFSO people, got scammed. I am curious why the seller does not yet have any negative feedback? .... If only to warn others.
geezus, that sucks. a mob needs to assemble proto and go after this guy...serious. sorry to hear you guys got scammed.
Yeah. I was totally pshyched because I just finished a big ebay auction of my own where my intent was to come up with some money to go after some of the bigger name figures on my top 10 list. But with this debacle I have spent the last couple weeks packaging and shipping out a ton of ebay stuff, with solid communication to my buyers etc., etc., with nothing really to show but a case of collecting nausea.
Sorry to hear that it has come down to this but all those affected need to fight back! 1. If you paid with your CREDIT CARD, do a chargeback directly to your card company, not PayPal. That way you can get the FULL amount refunded and not the measly $200 handout from PayPal (they only offer full $2000 Buyer Protection when sellers have over 50 feedbacks). 2. File a fraud complaint with the Federal Trade Commission: https://rn.ftc.gov/pls/dod/wsolcq$.star ... _CODE=PU01 "The FTC enters Internet, telemarketing, identity theft and other fraud-related complaints into Consumer Sentinel®, a secure, online database available to hundreds of civil and criminal law enforcement agencies worldwide." 3. As false Delivery Confirmation numbers were apparently given out, and the items were never received, file a complaint for postal fraud with the USPS: https://www.usps.com/postalinspectors/f ... plaint.htm 4. File a theft report with your local law enforcement agency; they may be able to file a report on your behalf with the out of state police if the sellers address is valid or contact info gives them other clues. 5. Leave negative feedback on the user id on eBay, he is still listed as an active user. Other potential buyers need to be aware of his dealings. Good luck to all and let us know if anything changes for the better!
Guys, REALLY sorry to hear that! I have been scammed a few times on ebay in the past, and it really hurts! Plus ebay/paypal, for all their record profits, are not incredibly helpful. Karma will out in the end.
