Came to a point where I just needed to walk away from the Telesdon sculpt and began work on something new. I caught myself ooglin' some Mesopotamian reliefs and figurines so I decided to play around with that. The above is my version of a Sumerian "Votiv" sculpture. kinda neat. Still a WIP and ways to go.
I’ve been making instax photos with added monsters over the last few months. They are being collected into a little book. Here’s a couple of them.
Revisited a character of mine called Lord Morbus and wanted to see what he might look like as a chubby cherub type...
This guy has his own thread in the resin section, but I thought I'd post the sculpt over here too. http://skullbrain.org/bb/index.php?threads/sūpāsakku-tanuki.53388/ and this was the inktober drawing that started it all.
I recently completed my first album cover commission for a Scottish group called Eaters. The albums going to be called ‘The Astronomers Office’. Hopefully doing a 12” release so will be cool to get a copy in hand and see how it comes out.
Developing this character further. Having a wine gourd for a head was too funny to pass up. EDIT: Also adding this digital concept piece I made for a character I created called "Brain Freeze". A parasitic ice cream cone that attaches itself to unsuspecting victims, thus giving them brain freeze; controlling them.
I got a fountain pen and I am attempting to draw with it. I can say that it's slightly better than I could do in grade school. View this post on Instagram View this post on Instagram View this post on Instagram
Forgot to post these over here. I'm really happy with how they turned out, especially with the packaging. More in the Resin thread: http://skullbrain.org/bb/index.php?threads/do-you-remember-food-fighters.53504/
Seriously @animator that packaging SLAYS. I'm working on a keshi run right now myself and I can't really contain myself.
Made a latex Orc mask quite awhile ago but never posted it. Another project I'd like to work more on. Sculpted, molded, cast and painted from scratch. Jesus what a pain in the ass, but extremely rewarding. I have a bag of black balaclavas I found online for wicked cheap so I snagged it up planning on adhering the mask to the hood, that way it covers my whole head. I also plan on getting a chainmail coif and kettle helmet to go along with the character. No rest for the weary around here I suppose.
Bought a pack of Sculpey to see what it’s like to play with. Here’s my very crude attempt at making something.
Cheers! Yeah I didn’t intend that but now that it mention it I cant see how I missed the resemblance.
