I am trying to get a new Flickr group started up with pics of Popeye and Popeye related characters (2D or 3D). Why? Because I find Popeye fascinating and a real memory trigger(probably because I spent countless hours watching old Popeye cartoons on TV, first in black and white and then in color - I learned how to talk from Popeye. ) Popeye may be one of those "you had to be there" kind of things, but I was. I think I dated Alice Da goon once. I don't have a picture of her though. As far as Popeye, I know what you mean by a memory trigger. A 10" foam bendy popeye (old uniform like in your picture) was probably one of my first toys ever. The only way my mudda got me to eats me spinach.
