WHOA Awesome shots! I just got my CHOMP in today, never realized how big Stomp's sculpt is, I like it a lot.
I got my red cap'n bounch today....his foot is broken though ;-/ Rough life for the capn....peg leg and now a broken foot. *sucks*. (he's gonna walk [stand] again, I just know it!)
Omgomg you have that Marmit alien vinyl! What is its name?? It's been bothering me for the past week.
Isn't that the Michael Lau thing? I thought he meant something else. Is that related to Marmit somehow? Maybe I'm losing my mind. Edit: Oh yea -- Loving the photos. Especially the Buta no Hana gang.
Thanks, pickleloaf. The silvery guy with the spikey head was one of three (as far as I know) Marmit toys released in the late 90s in a line of extraterrestrial vinyls. The other two were the Hopkinsville Alien and the Flatwoods Alien- I couldn't remember the name of the third one. They came packaged in a clear plastic box, rather than a bag and header. The Flatwoods was eventually re-released in the Globsters line as the infamous clear version and in a painted GID version. Marmit also made a toy of the Gray alien, I think. But I don't know if that was the same series or something completely different. Btw, I enjoy these photos. They have real character to them, especially for the Butanohana toys- nicely done.
That Marmit alien is the Pascagoula Alien. I think there might be a GID version of it also but don't quote me on it. Michael Lau also did a version of this last year in his After Dark series (i have one on the way) and this past fall he did another version of it (not as good). chris
that mechani-kong is kicking my ass......is that the vintage marusan version? your pictures are always great to look at.....keep it up!
I just saw the Lau version of the Pascagoula Alien. Hmm, interesting. It's a little stylized for me, but a neat piece nonetheless.
not a recent pickup, but i discovered that the jingi guy's wounds glow like mad under the black light. dehara loves that glow paint i think lots of custom Sunshine arches by GodBeast his mold for these finally wore out
Oh man, I loved those arch guys, they were the most useless M.U.S.C.L.E. toy ever. They just got knocked over by all my other ones all the time, especially the karate guy, he would just give them the dim mak and dust the middle bricks.
