Here's what I don't get: he says its cheaper to buy two or three of the same figures at the same time, but then if he just keeps all of them doesn't that make it more expensive in the long run? Like if you were going to buy three and sell two, I can understand that. But why buy three of the same toy just for the sake of getting a lower unit cost? If I had a video camera I'd do a video like this and it'd be awesome. But I don't have a video camera because I spend all of my money on toys
his johnson? j/k looks like he has some nice stuff, but I'd rather set them up on shelves than leave them in boxes. He can still close the door to keep the cat out.
I swear this guy sounds exactly like a guy I knew back home in South Jersey about 20 years ago. I'm thinking South Jersey for sure. Anyway as much as this guy is a nerd, aren't we all though? I found his videos amusing. He at least goes into all the details of the maker etc. His space trooper review was dead on. LOL I think we should all abandon flickr accounts and just do you tube videos!
I seriously think we should all get video cams and do this. I'll gladly give a long drawn out boring figure by figure video, but I think I'd end up doing funnier stuff to keep it interesting. Imagine a Live Lord Bemon blog? That would keep me entertained for hours.
what's with the hookers this week alex? that's not a Boston accent. if it was, instead of "fig-errrrs" is would be "fig-ahhhs"
This is killing me, this guy's voice sounds really familiar and he's probably someone I've met about a dozen times at AFFE and Chiller over the years. Any videos where he walks by a mirror or something so we do a Blade Runner-type analysis of the image? This is the same way I display my collection, too.
I thought the voice was familiar too, but I thought it sounded like a TV/movie character but couldn't quite place it.
I dunno who this guy is but he is INTENSE! and hilarious. One more thing, if that were my cat destroying vinyl it would be my ex-cat.
Since people were into that closet video from yesterday, I dug up this ancient interview that Isaac did with COOP. Starts off with his art background, but soon veers off into discussing his sick toy collection and stories of collecting... 18:29 minutes of video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-xlmcp5tXg Wabi Sabi
Shirt is colour coordinated to match his toy collection: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=___wUaGG ... re=related
That was a great video- thanks LS. I love collector stories. They always make me want to dash off to a flea market or something.
These are really cool, even the "figers" guy. I find these kinds of videos really relaxing for some reason. Maybe I'll make a few.
Goddamnit. I forwarded this video to someone who I thought could identify this guy. No luck. Goddamnit.
