putting white flock on colored vinyl makes all these cool pastel "peeps". Its the chocolate marshmallow filling that seals the deal
^OK but don't be hypocrite and tell me the difference between what I posted and the those Uamous up there. http://www.toycyte.com/wp-content/uploa ... 42x459.jpg Even she made one, BTW.
um, I never said I liked the toys did I? No, I didn't. What you need to realize is that people come here to avoid the KR garbage. This is the Japan toys section, Uamou is from Japan and makes her toys in Japan. While I don't think they fit my aesthetic for toys, I can appreciate her as an artist and what she has done in her line of toys, she worked and got them made. If you can't follow the rules of not posting KR garbage, maybe posting here isn't the best idea.
I thought Glenn left KR and jumped to S7 just to get more unicorns and rainbows. And that, Atease, is one of the cutest unicorns with the sweetest eyes I have seen.
It was not a KR product, but a riff off'em and I thougth that would pass. My bad But then again, those who appreciate those Uamous better not crap to much on this cause it's about the same, esthetically. Not that I mind or care.
I bought my mommy one of the White Rabbit flocked Uamous and she loves is... I like how her fun little sculpt can be so cute in just a variety of colors. It's such a pure and simple little thing. I understand the shape looks KR-like, but I think the Uamou critter has more in common with the Fortune Cats, where the vinyl color is the primary feature.
I'm waiting for one of the holier than thou's to come along and say I'm being mean. I love unicorns. I like Uamou...let's get this back on track.
It was a KR product that had been "customized." Just to be fair. I think everyone knows that way back when ramos made the expletitive use of a certain word, that stuff just doesn't belong here. And not that I'm buying these, but they are way off from the crappy quality and mass market of KRap.
I like them and I did think of the KR peeps customs. Still a cool idea, there are not enough Easter. themed toys: pastels rule! Do they have peeps in japan? I do wish these were cheaper, I think they would sell a loads more at $15 or $20. I have never flocked anything so I have no idea what it cost but it must be steep.
amen to that. I'm surprised that they sell for as much since it's a really basic figure and basic toy. hell, they're not even painted. I picked up a flocked version and the rainbow version--but I don't care to get any more. I think it would be awesome if at $30, they came with a little matching Boo.
Yes, it was quite horrendous. Don't misread my post. I love her work. I just think it's not too original. Dot.
