Sorry, but none of those are kaiju. They are accepted and collected here, but they are not kaiju.

We really do just let anyone in, don't we.

Thanks, but no, I won the first TLS raffle they had a month or so ago. I was pretty surprised and stoked!

I'll take partial blame for bastardizing the use of Kaiju.

Two years ago I think running over people for posting stuff like this would've made more sense. I still think people should know better than to post KRap in the show off, but sorry, in the day and age of s7 minis and all the other stuff that gets lauded around here, what is the difference between a mummy boy and a skumbo except the mummy boy was made in japan? Granted, it is s7's board so their toys would be welcome here, but what is "ok" around here isn't as closed book as it used to be. It also gets tiring to see people trumpeting the attack who were buying up the same toys a few months ago, or had no idea what secret base was when SB even started (Note that the name of the board isn't even a "kaiju" toy.)

so now it's ok to post d-u-n-n-y collection photos and custom m-u-n-n-y wants and respond to everything with "+1" and start lists/petitions? the name "skullbrain" does not in any way elicit images of platform toys. it's one thing to be open minded, but it's another to completely lose focus.

no one's telling anyone what to or what not to collect. nevertheless, the focus of this board is just a bit narrower than "every toy ever produced."

Those whales aren't kaiju either. Kaiju isn't some weird term coined to specify Japanese vinyl toy. It's like saying "Oh that Rebel Ink is a monster!" Would you call it a monster? Kaiju isn't some obscure term. It has an actual definition. It's a real word. There's nothing to consider.

I actually have this same gripe, but I stopped saying it.

Its like saying that a Be@rbrick is a Monster. It makes no sense.

I like the Don Pendleton pieces. I wish he still designed for AWS tho. I'd slay someone for a complete set of Chiaroscuro and/or Creeper series decks.

Agreed! Don had so many classic designs during his time at AWS.
