^ Yeah any links to stuff on the forum (stuff in signatures for example) are broken currently. I'll be fixing that soon, just don't have time to delve into it today.
Looks like I spoke too soon. Check out links that were broken before, they should work now. Let me know if you find a link or bookmark that isn't working.

I'm liking the changes I see so far -- Thank you for your work, James! One suggestion: Make usernames black? PROTIP: If you upload a new avatar and it isn't reflected in the avatar upload dialogue box, close it, and go to a different page. It should show up.

I haven't found a suitable replacement for that functionality yet. I'm still looking though. Also, no signatures on mobile.
@toothaction or @ultrakaiju, can one of you go through this thread and the other threads about the new board and compile a list of everything that's been mentioned, whether I've already fixed it or not?

Sounds good @toothaction. In the meantime, I set the board up to use a different method for emails. Let me know if you guys are still seeing emails go to spam after this evening.
I think the new features such as likes, followers, trophies and @ notifications are in place to appeal to the average users of social media platforms, the lot of which garner for more eye time from the masses than our trusty old forum ever did. Much as such additions don't appeal or particularly apply to my own interest in this place, I can see where such filigree might help out SB/S7 in the the long run, and as such am personally happy to look the other way while the experiment plays out. If we do want to keep new eyes turned in our direction, and old eyes comforted and content, though, I'd like to continue my campaign here for the ousting of the many shades of condo grey that have taken over our fonts and location bars, so that we might welcome back any number of delicious shades of blue.
@toothaction if you don't stop mentioning the blue I'm going to remove the little bits of it that are still here.
Member icons on the left. Default is a question mark. Can it just be disabled or turned off so it doesn't show?
Oh I'll check. My guess is that it'll show some kind of empty box, but I can probably at least change the question mark to just be a blank box. Did you not have an avatar on the old forum?
I didn't have an avatar before. I'll just try blank white, bummer that it can't easily be removed entirely, but don't worry about it.
Congrats on the ten year of time-wasting anniversary Biff! That is quite an noteworthy thing, and I have always enjoyed your old Hedo avatar, great to see it revived.
