Those are all pretty nice, I like the Iron rubbish monster best. On the patrol car Kaiju guy I may just wait out a clear version, like 90% of the Elegab stuff I have is clear so I may just keep that up to save myself a little trouble.
If you missed the Killer J Shuttlegon Grumbletoy has them up for pre-order again. Go get one!!! http://www.grumbletoy.com/store/index.p ... ts_id=1127
Fuuu888uiioooock i has no 120!!! Someone buy this, then in 4 months sell it to me at a loss because you got into something else. Please.
That's funny! I could be totally off base about this but I have a feeling that Elegab will be one of those toymakers that stay in people's collections for quite some time. Then again there is always someone that will part with just about anything. Check back in a couple of months.
I actually think Shuttlegon isn't as cool as his little buds, though I love it. The minis are my favorites. But everytime THIS version hits I just can't swing it than it's gone once I get the cash. Demz the breaks.
You said it! I've NEVER been a big fan of minis, they've always been cool but never the main course, for me. Elegab's stick me in the heart and most are only 1 piece of vinyl, no articulation! Pure genius! I'm dying to get my hands on a set.
those look great together. and I agree, I love the fact that they're solid unarticulated pieces/finger puppet guys. like something I would get from a vending machine as a kid, or in a pack of party favors. only cooler.
I couldn't agree more about the mini's. While I still love the Shuttlegon and the new Monster Patrol Car the mini's are where Nari really shines. I have a feeling he has a lot more fun developing the little guys. They have tons of personality and whimsey that makes me very curious about there story. Don't you want to know what kind of mischief a Paparazzi Monster can cause? And what does a Disqualification Monster do? One of the things that has always attracted me to Elegab's toys was this kind of refined crudeness, the interior sprays, the "bad" hand-painted touches, the goofy little stubby arms, and those crazy mouths. All of these elements and more come together in the mini's. I'm hoping that Nari will come out with some standard size figures that are more in line with the look and feel of the mini's. Looking at his blog he has so much material to draw from that I can imagine whatever comes from him in the future will be exciting.
Don't hold me to this but I think the orange HP Monster Patrol Car shown on the new Dokuro Taro opening page just might be coming our way.
Actually I think your right. I was thinking the Pachi Summit were more brown but now that I look closer they are the same. I should have looked first then spoke. Just chalk it up to my enthusiasm for this new release. Something orange would be nice!
I want everything in Joe's picture... the carrier guy is fantastic, and those stupid minis just go with it so well!
So excited for the monster patrol car, the brown is perfect for the first version. Will be interesting to see what colors they decide next. Maybe a classic black and white monster patrol car?
they put warnings like "small parts" and "choking hazard" on toy packaging for people like yourself, ya know. but I bet they're tasty...
that is an amazing picture, jcat. i have seen, touch, and play with the MPC in person and your picture makes it look even better than the real thing. i hope a black one will be release down the road.
