are there different sculpts of this figure besides the two that come in this set? this one doesnt seem to have the same skull blossom on the tentacle that one sculpt i saw did... maybe i'm wrong
They are all the same skull blossom, I belive. The Sunglow Docross is up too. Seems to be allittle on the pricey end tho..
the standard blobps have a single skull on the tentacle, the blobpi have a little smiley face, the last kaiju (which i dont think has been released in sunglow) have a skull cluster. i did note however that the one TT has has the skull painted green on the tip whereas mine is completely gold. damn. somebody forgot to paint my skull green. i been hosed.
10+ there are 11 listed on KT, and a few more that i can think of like the unpainted monchrome and clear pink.
No, you got one of the rare "mistakes!" In collector-world, that can mean added value. Are both your blobpus and blobpi like that? The price on the full-sized Sunglow Docross at TT is pretty much standard. I don't think I've seen that one for a lower price anywhere. It's the prices on the recent Blobpus minis and Kaijin that I don't get. $130.00 for the Kaijin (at KT) when the similar Skull Toys Doku-Rocks sell for $30 - $40? The mini-Docross is cool, but at $90.00? I guess I'm not hardcore enough.
By my recollection: Monochrome unpainted Monochrome w/ black spray Chronic green Wall (metallic purple) Samurai (red w/ blue spray) Toxic Black Abyss GID w/ green/yellow spray GID unpainted Chrome Gold Chrome Silver Chrome Red Pumpkin Guts (S7 ver.) Xmas (grey w/ red & green spray) Midnightmas (black w/ red & green spray) New Year's (clear orange w/ tinsel) Chinese New Year's (clear pink w/ glitter) Clear pink unpainted Yolk Toxic Y Umm.. any others?
Chinese New Year is the only Last Kaiju I want, as I have the other 3/4 of that set. No competition from me on the other colorways. I wonder how many Dokugans there have been? That's an amazing sculpt IMHO. So ... what do you guys think about the Sunglow colorway? I just picked my blob/pus/pi set up and really dig it. The base vinyl color really pops, and I like the discreet use of gold and metallic green. I finally picked up one of those clear/blue-silver/cat toy "Clione" Blobpi as well. I doubt if they'll release the other figures in that scheme as it's really the bright orange toy inside that makes it work, but it sure would be cool to have some totally clear versions of the other sculpts, for filling with eye candy or perhaps for customs.
i loove my sunglow set. the green metallic is amazing, and the stripes on the back rule. i dont know how many dokugans there are and im too lazy to check through the blob page right now but there are several im looking for and ive got a zag up for trade! someone help me!
Ok, because I like to do this: OG Dokugan Halloween Dokugan (orange w/ green/yellow/black spray) Halloween Dokugan, unpainted clear orange Patchi Summit "Killer Moth" Dokugan (grey w/ orange/yellow/black spray) Chrome Silver "Frost" Dokugan (grey w/ blue/purple spray) Cyclopus (Dokugan head, TLK body) Xmas Dokugan (GID w/ red/green spray) New Year's Dokugan (clear orange w/ tinsel) Unpainted clear pink w/ blue eye (Lucky Bag ver.) Chinese New Year's Dokugan (clear pink w/ glitter) Toxic Y Yolk Unpainted yellow w/ blue eye Chronic Dokugan (metallic green w/ spray) Gold Dokugan
Cool. Thanks for the additions to the list. There are actually quite a few TLKs. Although Kaji seems to have slowed down with them since creating the Docross.
im not really that big on the docross either though. something to do with the skulls. althought the flying version of the docross isnt half bad.
I love the Sunglow color scheme. It's unique, but subtle. Also an all clear Blobpus does exist. It is the Innocent version released back in 2005. With Blacklight: Hanging out with some friends:

Awesome list zadzaczadlin! This thread needs a sticky soon... Oh and add: Unpainted clear green (Lucky Bag) Unpainted clear red (Lucky Bag) Blobpus hand puppet
Besides the difficulty of collecting them all, which is probably impossible at this point unless you started in 2004, there are also the display and storage issue. Even the main Blobpus sculpt is sort of wide. The taller figures are very large indeed. Dokugan has its wingspan to contend with. Plus, aesthetically, I like to give my blobs a little space to show off. When I see them stacked four deep in a Detolf, it looks more like storage than display. FWIW I think the easiest and most practical approach would be to collect "current" and subsequent releases as one is able, and the older blobs as they appear here and at the auction sites, unless you have very ample display space and funds to hunt down the older releases, many of which I've never seen resold anyway.
There is also an unpainted gray (came with some of the metallic LKs)...and there were three "odoriko-san" ones...I think one with a pink boa?
