I must come clean... dead presidents was actually the first thing that came to mind when i saw the black and white mug, but I just couldn't resist the opportunity to use that line.

he rocks by the way. I really enjoy how the sculpt holds up to wildly different color styles.

Bummer, the release was right in the middle of my move. Congrats to all that scored. The Blobpus was amazing.

 

So stoked that I finally was able to get an MVH release, truly can't wait to see it in real life!

Snapped a shot of this Noh mask (Okina?) while I was visiting my parents. It belonged to my grandfather and has been displayed in my old bedroom for years. It must be around 40-50 years old at least. The expression reminds me of Rich's toy.

I have the feeling we should be taking better care of the mask.

On the mask, is the rope/twine at the ends of the mouth suppose to be a mustache or does the bottom jaw move as if it's talking when someone wears it? Really wonderful piece.

 

Ah, I just noticed the rope. I looks like the whole jaw is a separate piece suspended by the rope. Probably sways a little as the performer moves...I'll bet it's a cool effect!

Anyway, yes, the Blobpus colorway definitely no longer evokes imagery of ICP!

 

About that noh mask, yes the rope if there so the jaw can move here is another example :

Yes, the jaw is a separate piece. There is also a single beard piece attached to the bottom of the jaw (not shown in photo).
