MVH Doji San and DX Sludge Demons

I mean they're just toys as in it's not worth lighting torches and carrying pitchforks over... I missed out too, I blinked, but that's life. It's one release, I'll have a shot at another down the line, and so will you if you don't decide to burn every bridge with your anger. I truly believe Rich has been working hard to try to get pieces into the hands of real collectors. He wouldn't be planning this huge coin system if he didn't recognize that there is a problem, and that it needs to be fixed. This release may have been a mess, but I don't think he foresaw any of this.

Just the fact you assume people here are kissing his ass in the hopes of getting toys later is fucking ridiculous. Unlike you, some people are just nice. I bet a few people in this thread(just like me)didn't even try to score the drop and aren't huge MVH collectors but can still see how hard he tries to be decent with people and give everyone a shot with tons of different ways to buy toys.

A lot of us are pretty happy when our friends score even when we don't because for some of us it's a community and it's fun to see each other's collections grow and change over time. When a really neat toy is released I'm glad it exists at all even if I never get my grubby hands on it. The more toys and art in the world the better. It shouldn't just be about what you have on your shelf or what you can sell later when you decide you want money instead.

 

This feels like Pokemon cards during grade school recess all over again, tbh. My collection, compare it to your collection, someone makes a bad trade and blames the other party for it, someone's mom buys them tons of packs and they cry because they get a repeat holo...
Unless you or Rich is dying, we all get to live another day and have another chance at a release in the future. Calmmmm down. I don't have a single MVH piece and missed this one, and I'm not going to get upset over it. I can't have everything I want. Even if everything I wanted was available, I couldn't afford it. That's just life. I accepted that fact when I got into this hobby, and it's still valid every single day.

While you like to imply that i get everything through Rich, this is not the case. I do what i have to do to help my odds. I didn’t get a painted orange zug, tried and missed, oh well. Show goes on. You can try and call me out. I’m on the freaking west coast, and haven’t missed a DV show yet. I put the time and effort in. Cry me a fucking river. If you’re done... be done... go cash out. Would you like me to give you IG handles who will gladly pay you crazy money? Since they are always in my DM asking about toys I never have once hinted at being available. Your meltdowns are one of the reasons i stick around SB. I don’t think I’ve ever been pisses off over toys like that since I’ve been collecting. It’s quite entertaining to say the least. Believe me when i tell you, many of us nuke a bag of popcorn, and watch yourself implode on a pretty regular basis. If it’s been a while... just wait... that tidal wave is coming... we all are riding this wave. Thanks for the entertainment.

 

Man those painted Dojis were killer. Enjoyed Rich mentioning the painted release having all the masks will be rare. Cool to understand how long it takes to paint all of them up. I guess seeing them laid out puts it in perspective. Congrats on the scores.

those were the blanks used for the punk Drunker collab. I didn’t get that either... wanna test me on that? Ask someone who has one to look at the blank vinyl color. Again assuming. I have 1 purple sam, and i was lucky to get 1 of the DV mixed... and through a trade i got a second SB deathhead dx. I traded that for a second purple sam that was immediately helping me get the 2nd DV mixed to get me both.

I ended up with that second SB deathhead because even though i already had it, that’s what the person could offer to make up the difference to even out the trade. So yes i moved it to help someone... they wanted to trade me a blank sam for a painted death head, i agreed because o was able to make a deal towards the second DV i was after.

Now this is the SB I'm talkin' about! What an entertaining drama-filled day... MVH sales meltdown again PLUS the new season of Survivor kicks off! I need two bags of popcorn to get through all of this.

Sometimes I get bummed out that I can no longer afford MVH toys, due to the hype-inflated retail and premium cost for international shipping.. $75 shipping for one toy just blows. Avoiding frustrating drops and shit-storms like this is a good counter-balance to missing out on some great horror toys. Rich's toys are rad - from sculpt to paint to packaging, but they ain't worth jumping into and battling the current feeding frenzy.

 

Didn’t even see your question to be honest. Considering I’ve been pretty much collecting only 3 artists with a little dabble of others here and there this makes me the bad guy? Because I’m focused? Anyways... over 100. Crazy right? How dare someone continue collecting what they like? The funny part, I’m not even aggressive man. Believe it or not friends, as well as how you handle yourself do help in this hobby. Board members will help you out, and friends will help you as well... i been collecting what i like from the start. You know i paid $400 for 2 painted Ollie’s at one point, and that was excessive since it was eBay. It’s not my fault Rich blew up. How do i feel about it? It’s great. He puts a lot of work and effort in it. Many have followed his career from LASH to MVH... I’m glad you’re done though... negative energy is bad.

Would i give one or sell one to Maddie? No, sorry. My collection is not for sale or trade. I have put a lot of effort into my passion of this hobby. I bust my ass on the daily grind to do what makes me happy... i will not apologize for that at all.

@eckotyper I think it's great too. My point is, it's a lot easier to take a loss when you have over 100 pieces. Im not shaming you, but she has not one. Better believe I’m taking all the memories of my trips and hangs with me. If i leave with a toy, it’s icing on the cake. Much of my collection can serve as memories of that said trip... a souvenir for that said trip if you will. You don’t like my attitude? Because I’m not meeting your rage with rage? I’m calm as hell right now lol.

 

Dude I am too, I'm just saying I only have a few toys man. I keep it that way. Taoism talks about possessions weighing a person down. It's something I've been very conflicted about but I find a lot of joy in toys. I had to find a balance. I basically have a detolf. That's it. Okay a few smalls too. But like a window sill.

As far as shows, I know you don't want to hear my sob story but as a single father it's not in my budget to take trips. The toys, yes, the hotels and aaalllll that no. So I'm jealous of the times you've had no doubt. I think that's why I'm so upset so often to tell you the truth. I'm hunting the internet exclusively for toys. My goal is to narrow my collection to about 10 things I love and leave it there. I have a few that are in that category already (painted rotten Rex, SB Ollie and dx, lion chen coolie high, retroband meats) and I'd like a PK piece like a dualbat or hyperkraken. Point being, I don't need all that. As much as it seems like I'm bummed on missing the toy I'm not! It was okay. I'm bummed on MVH release nights. K? They are brutal! Nobody was saying it, I did. You are absolutely right, your collection is yours to do what you wish with. I don't get to dictate what makes you happy, it's just excessive to me.
