I call these guys the "Oceanic Duo." I don't know if you know where that was inspired by.... Anyway, they still have a bunch to go, but it was getting cold out and I couldn't sit in my unheated garage any more. I'm gonna add red and silver spray to both of these guys. Please let me know what you think. Oh and the chaos was the one I had formerly done and now is stripped and repainted.
Before anyone responds I want to add that these guys weren't photographing very well, so I'm gonna try to shoot them again later tonight. They're much more brilliant in person.
Your choice and placement of color is excellent. I really like these two. Can't wait to see better photos.
They look great. On another note, I don't like how you add the borders for your pictures. They make it look like they're those inspirational posters.
Thanks for the compliments on the figures. If the didn't have borders they'd blend right into the background of the forum
I think it's fine if they blend into the background...or if you really want a boarder, just make a thinner one (like 3pixels or something). are these also dye, paint, or mix of both.
Ah, that I agree with you. But I think a simple thin black border will do. IMO, the border takes away from the beautiful custom job.
I like that you're sort of following an actual RxH template instead of just spraying one color and then another and saying "Look at my customs!!" I've been struggling with making a water themed paint job but haven't been able to get the right colors to use. Your color choices gives me some ideas
Not that i know much about colour schemes etc but your use of color, spray etc seems to be really intuitive - you seem to have a great eye. These look great.... Plus they won't dye other toys which can only be a postive
And in case anyone was wondering (I doubt it), these were the result of me missing the V3 evil and going out to paint and cry..haha!
agreed with the others on the great use of colors and placement. the mutant head looks especially awesome, subtle yet effective!
This is what I'm basing the colors for the Head on (it's the piece I did for the art trade): I'm changing a few things up though. I think I'm gonna make the dots on his head red and his cuffs silver, fingers and toes silver and eyes silver. I don't like the gold any more I don't think. Not for this fig anyway. I'll be making the matching bee soon...
