This is so bad but in a totally good way. Love the painted wood stand, and the colors are fantastic. Is it a one of a kind?
Thanks! I like them to be akward. Yeah, one of a kind. I got my start doing primitive halloween sculptures back in the 90s, but really burnt out after about 400, so i only do a couple a year now.
hey Shiver, do you use a brush to ink those nice monster drawings posted above ? Heres a few Barom type monster-demons for the collection...
Hey zap, love those barom fellas, look almost like mayan or aztec art the way they are done. Yes, i use a size 4 windsor and newton series 7 for larger things, and a size 1 or 2 for tiny drawings.
I'm so psyched with how much new, awesome work has been going up here lately! Here's a couple of paintings that my girlfriend did of figures that we have: Hedorah: Kittyfire: Look at these cute Hedorah sketches too! You can check out more of her work if you wanna at her website
I'm glad to hear you guys dig em! She painted them in gouache in a moleskin sketchbook, and I think she used a little bit of colored pencil for some of the line work on Kittyfire. She's planning on doing a bunch more, so I'll keep posting em as she does em!
Nice, I need to break out the old gouache set, that's something else I haven't messed with in a LOOOOONG time.
