Wasn't their point system, 1 point for every 100 yen spent, and each point equals 6 yen?, Because now it's, 1 point for every 100 yen spent and each point equals 1 yen. I think I lost alot here
I noticed the same thing and posted a coupla times about it. First, I think it is and always was 1 point earned for each 100 yen spent, not for each 1000 - 1% is hardly worth the bother, but a 0.1% rebate would be truly silly. For spending the points, it was 1 point = 1 yen for a long time before it suddenly became 6, then it went back to 1 again. I only saw it shown at 6 one time (2-3 weeks ago?), so perhaps that was a typo or some kind of temporary points 'sale'? I did write and ask, and they confirmed it's currently only one point though, not six. Given translation issues, I did not try to find out the history of the 'changes,' though I'd sure like to know. 6% rebate v. 1% is a big difference. CC PS - I'm also not sure how the '6 months points expiration' rule works - If you earn 100 points every month, do January's points expire after 6 months, or do your points only expire all-at-once if you let 6 months pass without making ANY purchase? Since their system does seem to always show your 'last purchase date,' I assume it's the latter, and that so long as you make at least one buy every 6 months, your points will never expire. But, it's not very clear - I wrote Taro to ask about this, and will post the reply if I get one.
The reason I brought this up was I used part of my points on my last order, about a month ago and it covered my shipping. maybe it was a fluke, but just seemed weird.
Check your profile page. Your current total is towards the bottom of the page. They expire six months after you earn them so it's a good idea to just plug 'em in now and then, if you order frequently. Sometimes they end up paying for shipping.
Have you confirmed this? I suspect they only expire after 6 months of no K-T purchases, not 6 months after you earn them. (At least, my over-6+month old ones never vanished). CC
