I notice there are a trend of using Kaiju/ or man in suit as the creative for TV Ad in Hong Kong, here are some of the example and there are more of them. These are cool! I am afraid Kaiju in any possible meaning is going to be used to death should Pacific Rim become a hit. And I am pretty sure it will. I loathe what this could mean.

I never get tired of seeing the Hayabusa commercial. It does make me wonder though what the conversion rate for the Yen was when this was made - else, those are some incredibly expensive vacuums for the cost of items in the 70s. Maybe they come with your own Hayabusa defender!
