Hehe...yeah, definitely nothing mini about this...and, alas, vintage but NOT under $50... Damn you and your box variation, Dave! Nah, honestly, I'd love to see any box variations out there. The more info about such an extravagant toy, the better. I can't wait to post my full review on CDX--I'm gonna try to post pics of the various prototypes that made their way into catalogs and other literature out there...
My box is different. Much less exciting. It's the mail away version. Simply says "Jumbo Machinder Spaizer" on the outside or something like that. No artwork. Mine did come with a big cardboard poster type thing. It was mostly green and I think it had a picture of a kid riding the Spaizer.
No kidding? Well if you could post pics (of the box and the poster), that'd be awesome! Mine had no big poster, but I have the small instruction sheet with the kid riding the Spazer...sounds like the same sheet yours has.
Hey, jmachinder, any progress on getting some pics of your box and poster? Well, I'm sure y'all're sick of hearing about this damn thing by now! But I finally got the full review of this guy up over at CollectionDX! Please head over and have a look. It's definitely worth it for the additional pics and full run-down of the toy and all of its features. And if you're a real sucker for punishment, ya gotta check out the latest Some Assembly Required episode. It's just us being nerdy with the toy...but the musical interlude kinda makes sitting through the whole thing worth it, if you ask me! ;P
^ Awesome! If I called someone a "chooch" (Italian slang) here in Kansas they wouldn't know what the heck I was saying. Kinda of like me not knowing about "Truck nuts". Lol! Nice to hear it's use even if it's in cyber -land. I miss the east coast. : ( I was hoping the kids would've gotten woken up so I could see the expression of terror on your face. ; )
Ah, so "chooch" is Italian...no shit? Heh... And, yeah, I've seen Josh's kids and how they treat their toys...there's no way in hell! I'll be content with Rory's pic above!
wow....just wow. That is amazing I love the drawing on the box showing the kid riding that. I couldn't imagine being a kid with one of those...
Thanks much, guys! Grendizer docked with the Spazer now preside over the rest of my collection (really, the rest of my living room!). I'll probably bring them both to the next East Coast Chogokin Summit, if any of y'all happen to be in the area...
