The pipe cleaners seem like a bit of a bite on other companies, but otherwise, nice colorway. Matches Horvath's Chupacabra.
the only one of these that I ever saw that looked even a tad bit interesting was the really limited bloody black turtle I saw floating around somewhere...
I don't hate it. The production values seem decent. I can understand why some would go for it. Sure is alot of Ledbetter being released these days.
I like this version more than the others - way way better than the Sluganodon (not saying much, sorry Joe) - but I don't crave it.....much like all KFGU releases. Its amazing how KFGU releases just don't have "it", whatever "it" is (but you know what I mean), when compared to virtually all the companies that we sing the praises of here on SB. They appear to be missing kaiju soul.
available at http://www.1nventoryshop.com for $110 if anyone's interested - they also have some realxhead figures...
always straight to the point. I do agree this is the best one yet...however (and this is a big however) it still doesn't make this sculpt worthy of being purchased for me. On KFGU - I go nuts for pink releases... and the KFGU people have basically released every sculpt they've done in pink and I've bought ONE (the Ika Gilas)...these just don't do it for me, and methinks many others agree... and this is def. trying to cash in on the current resurgence of pipe cleaner inserts...
Pipe cleaners are cool. Clear vinyl is cool. Cutesy wittle turtles are not. JLed has always seemed like the 'Tweety Bird with Attitude' of the art / toy / "art toy" world to me.
This thing sold out very quickly on the first day of TTF. (I didn't buy one, but I saw the big SOLD OUT sign posted in the booth's window shortly after the show opened.)
i like it... can do without the pipe cleaners though. might be my first kfgu since ika gilas... downside is i think they're a bit expensive
