it was a one off. I have the "proto" with yellow spray on the eyes but it is also 1 of 1.

this is why we all think the exist but even Flynn questioned it last time we talked about it. I hope someone can find a picture.

Can someone explain the hands to me? I have wondered about the hands for a while.

Glenn, the ones on your proto GF are clear yellowish on a glow body. Does this mean that the hands are somehow glued in/on and not molded with the arms? I noticed the hands on the Red Bagman masked ranger looked more like red vinyl than red spray.

My guess is the arms are clear yellow and the sleeves are painted white.

Looks like clear arms that just got painted white leaving the hands clear (and kinda yellowed with age)

Ah, yeah I see now the arms are a different white to the GID body. I thought my theory had found the proof it needed. I've just been thinking the hands on the SB figs seem to be to solid in colour to be painted if you follow me.

    You are following me right?

Woah, all this time I had thought that the hands were separate from the arms! (I don't know why.) But now it sounds like the predominant "theory" (quotations because maybe everyone knows for a fact) is that the arm sculpt includes the hands? My mind has been blown! Or not, but...

NT - I think the rest are against us on this. It's a crackpot theory by the look. Maybe Brian can ride in a save us...

    WOW!

    Thats all I can say!

That test shot GF is amazing - I should be jealous, but I just think it is RAD.

The all GID Pumpkin I'm a littke more jealous of - it is the only Pumpkin I need for a full pumpkin set as well, so if ANYONE sees one, please give me a headsup. I saw it on YJ last week, but then lost track of it. If I recall it didn't come up on regular SB searches?

    WOW!

Oh no, the hands are part of the arm. It is all one piece, they just mask and paint.

For more arm geekdom, those with an all black (Kuro) Skullbrain or a Full color (purple with white) will notice that the arms are thinner and longer than normal. These first two releases used the very first arms, which were later redone in a slightly shorter, thicker style that looks much better.

Muton, it sounds like there are still several of us who need that pumpkin!

Wow, I had no idea, I always thought the hands were glued on or something.

I got my pumpkin for about $250 after being polite and patient for about a year now (ever since the span release. I never win anything!). I let at least 4 or 5 of these go to other people because they got to them 1st so I never outbid (I did ask a few people raise their high bid for me).

I am not sure why these are so tough to get, I think people in the states won't sell because the had to get lucky (win a lottery) to get one. I don't know how they were released in Japan but way more have shown up on YJA than ebay or this board.

Brian, do you have anything to say about the Kaiju Bee's? We want to know the truth!

Wow! That proto is fantastic. I've always loved proto figures but even more so when it's a mix of materials like this one.

Congrats Glenn, and I'm glad to have been a small part of it. Helping knock something off of your grail list is an accomplishment in itself I think!

    Yeah, what's the scoop?!
I'm pretty sure I remember seeing a pic of the orange spray GID Bee on the Mandarake site along time ago, but I could be wrong.
