I came back from my yearly sojourn to London on June 1st, so it is indeed "about F'ing time". While I was there I got to hang with the LoSK guys (minus Banky who didn't show up ... grrrr ... but probably had a good reason). Anyway, read on McDuff: Here's Spence aka DOnnieRobot and his luverly missus hanging out at trendy East (ish) London Hoxton Square (was it teh Blue Note) for hipster French label records night - Spence runs Rough Trade East, so he was selling CD's. Strangely enough they were flying off teh sheleves when Amy started flogging 'em too: Earlier that night I was lucky enough to be allowed to stay fro a Rough Trade in-store appearance by the mighty Spiritualized. Here I am with the cadaverous Jason (Spaceman) Pierce - who was pretty damn friendly, and who was wearing similar sneaks to me: Sheffiled, home of Def Leppard, Pulp, the Arctic Monkeys AND my mum and dad was also home to a great Vivienne Westwood retrospective exhibition - excellent stuff indeed. Here are a couple of pics of stuff u know, but there was tons to see: My favorite shirt to wear to Church: Here's the LoSK Boys (mm, sounds like a good title for a film) having a Brick Lane curry: L to R: Soda Pop Smash, Mutton, Jebcrow, DonnieRobot and Backtrack Here we are post-curry, where Jeb is attempting his famous O sign to recreate LoSK in cotton glory. Sadly his angle was wrong - a story I am all too familiar with Finally some toy stuff: here's teh Michael Lau Pigs I stocked up on. I LOVE these guys, and Maharishi seems to be teh only place to get 'em now There u have it - short trip, but awesome to see family, and RAD to hang with the LoSK BOYS. Cheers!
