AFA graded is such a joke, and it's true they will grade anything you send them. just because people get toys afa graded they immediatley value it at 4-10 times what it is really worth. and the thing that is really funny is who the hell are these people grading toys? I found an article on some website a long time ago about putting down the whole afa grading thing, it was an interesting read on another note though some collectors are afa crazy, a buddy of mine buys and sells vintage transformers and those collectors just eat up afa graded stuff like it's nothing. so I hope this guy gets shafted, cause AFA don't mean shit!
We're sorry, but the.toy.filter has declined your Best Offer for US $50.00. You still have time to make another offer. The listing ends in 28 days 5 hours . I automatically got this response. My $5 offer was declined also so I upped it to $50, same deal.
Ha! I like this guy. "I'm not out to rip people off" Is there some kind of Flipper Hall of Fame? AFA guy wins.
if this sells all of my vinyl is getting the cobra commander treatment and going on the bay. hell, i'll mix it up with the occassional destro. though, i haven't seen the movie yet, so if destro is not in it, i might not risk it.
What a turd hole! The best thing is that this guy has friends who HATE his guts. His parents are have to be SO ashamed of him as well. Can you imagine being this trashcans nephew, you got to be so embarrassed just knowing you're related. The idea of karmic retribution is too other worldly and woo woo for me to wrap my head around. I'm satisfied knowing that everybody on earth hates this armpit without even having to meet him! If last year one sold for under $200 bones, how does it appreciate to over $2000??
Someone should list another cobra zombie with the same title/description but at $50 or cheaper just to see this guy's response.
Or everyone that has one should post it for the same price, so there are a dozen out there at the same time.
Maybe we should call the auction house (Phillips) and let them know someone takes advantage even more than they do.
Someone should list one for 1/2 his price. Then, if he lowers his price, 1/2 that. This should be repeated until his price is manageable, he stops dropping his price, or the auction ends. That is how the market usually works. He can't have a problem with that! Hahahahahahaha!
Btw, the listing title has been changed now without the word 'super 7'. Dude must lurking on this board and reading the thread.
That pricing system is batshit insane. Do people really pay those kinds of prices for GI Joe stuff? (Honest question). If so, then collecting JP vinyl suddenly seems quite reasonable (not to mention inexpensive).
I saw some really nutso pricing on action figures at SDCC and spent a little time trying to figure out how they priced different figures. Funnyara had a transformer we were interested in for $35. The dude across the way from him had it for $65, another dude was selling it for $75, and then some dude two rows over had it for $100. if someone can explain that variance in pricing on a common transformer, I would love to hear about it. Ass for every seat, this reminds me of that Phillips auction for the secret base chrome set..what did that go for? like $5k right? Parasites like this guy prey upon people who don't do their homework.
Hahahha I love Comic-Cons for that^^^^ I'll start at one table, see something I want for a dumb price, and as I wind my way through I see it others and it keeps getting lower. Too sweet.
I asked him if had lost his mind ..... Responce : No I haven't lost my mind, the advertisement clearly states "to the best of my knowledge this is the only AFA U95 in existence" and AFA's population report has been down for the past few days, so that's the best I can offer. This was Super 7's store display and when I asked them about it they told me there was only enough produced to fill one small box, which was distributed worldwide. I admit I'm not a S7 collector but a G I Joe collector and what I did was use the same system to put a price on this. If you need to call eBay about this, please feel free. This is nothing more than freedom of enterprise and a person has the right to buy or not buy whatever they want. Besides the best offer auction is available and someone could bid $1 if they wanted to. As a toy collector I do appreciate your concern, but in all honesty I have never had one af these graded AFA U95 and I would really like to see a fair market value. - the.toy.filter
