not to mention how crappy public transportation is over here, how clean it is over there compared to here...and a few other things...I miss Japan.
Totally agree with everything you just said. When I was in Taiwan, I was literally in awe at the level of customer service. And what struck me the most is that these people aren't working for tips either. The level of customer service in the states is pure crap.
yes,,,koenji ROCKS!!!!!! and america does generally suck.... not saying england is utopia,,,but atleast we know how to queue here...given that,,our service industry is way below america & japan... nippon is the best of both...queueing decorum & service,,,,nice!!!
I was thinking that too - service in the UK is very poor compared to the US. Queue for a bus in South London, especially at school chuck out time, and its every man for himself! Other things rock tho.
enuff z'nuff with the AMERICA bashing...more Japan pics! these colors never run! U.S.A.! U.S.A.! U.S.A.!
Seriously out of all the places i've visited i felt 'customer service' in the US was way above average compared to most/all European places. Some folks down here would rather die than lend a helping hand...
i think that has something to do with tipping culture...service industry people in the states have low salaries & depend on tips... but in japan,,tipping is rude...yet the levels of service are great...like i said,,the best of both worlds
LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT!!!!USA!USA! OK, really, where are the pics Scott?Stop text messaging and write damn you.
I remember landing in LAX and the second I walked off the plane from japan and I could I immediately hear annoying loud americans. I wanted to run back on the plane and hide. I also decided the first day I was there that the Japanese must eat the trash they create. Since there was no other way to explain how extremely clean the cities were with no trashcans anywhere to be found.
Does S7 get a lot of cowboy and gold prospector business? Just use a DIY clear Zag, pop off the head and give it a sign "Tips for New Head Appreciated - Zag" than they can't resist!
I agree, this HAS to be true. Tokyo has no right to be as clean as it is. I never saw ANYONE picking up trash, and I didnt see a single trash can out on the street. I mean, I live in Lexington, which is considered a 'clean' US city, and Lexington looks like a garbage dump compared to Tokyo.
lol in contrast to your country, whenever i come back from a visit....It almost looks like we have a tiny army of cleaning people running around and scrubbing our streets clean. We obviously don't have this, but the difference between the States and Canada as far as litter goes...is pretty incredible.
Yeah, I just got back from my trip and indeed, the customer service here is crap compared to many other countries. Service in Bangkok was really nice! The security guards freakin' salute you,
koenji seems like an awesome place to live, i'm gonna hopefully see if there are any (affordable) priced apartments there.
