    I think they're fucking rad.
Love the accessories for some of them.

Oh, I got all but 2 of those! They never made Lucious Sweet (or Drederick Tatum!) though.

I'm sure Futurama is inevitable... Nicole (Toybaroness) loves Futurama.

Futurama is awesome! Anyone who says otherwise is itching for a fight!

I thought the Simsons stuff was played out between Playmates & McFarlene. Not bad for a die hard Simpsons fan, but it's interesting to see the line go from WalMart to KR.

That kinda says alot, doesn't it.

There are Futurama figures out there - however, they're wildly overpriced and don't really look all that good. The KR Simpsons figs are just overwhelmingly craptastic, IMO; but when has Matt Groening ever shown restraint in his licensing agreements? He's like the George Lucas of animation (albeit with more quality control over his actual output). Kind of makes you wish more people had Bill Watterson's integrity.

i think kids would love them as well as those who normally arent into vinyl toys. It's kind of pointless to discuss amongst this sect. apples and oranges

Yeah, it's a shame it Playmates ended when it did, but i think only the hardcore collectors were buying them at the end. I doubt your avaerage person going into a TRU would buy an Agnes Skinner figure, or even know who she was for that matter. It was a great line (with the exception of Database), and worth chasing down as most of them are fairly cheap now.

Oh that sad Database figure... :(
Yeah, that line had a few weird runs - different colors of yellow, different finishes, etc. But for the most part it was a great line with awesome sculpts. It's pretty amazing how many figures - some quite obscure - they put out.
Fletch - were you on the Simpson's Collector Sector message board while the line was active? [insert nerd emoticon]

I checked in there every once and a while I think, to look for when and where the new lines were coming out at. I'm so much of a geek for these toys that I'm still bummed about missing the pin pal sticker giveaway. Pin Pal Moe ( I think) came without a sticker, so someone on that board was giving out some stickers to put on his back to match the rest of the pin pals. It still irks me to think about it.

And as far as the yellow plastic changing, a guy from Playmates told me that the new plastic will last longer than the first run. I still like the first run though because it was brighter and had a nice matte finish to it. I need to buy a new display case to show them all off. As of now i only have all the figures out. I need more space for the playsets.

Christ, you'd need an entire house for the playsets (excuse me, "environments"). I ended up giving those away (except, of course, for Moe's Bar), and just keeping the figures.

I have all the playsets and a majority of the figures out and displayed. I will take a pic later when I get home to prove that it can be done. I think KR did a decent job with the figures but I still love the playmates line more. I just wish they would have done the "Island of Dr. Hibbert" halloween playset before they cancelled the line.

If they are standard KR quality save your money. They'll be the usual KRap.
