So I had another Bemon dream last night... My wife and I were walking around the streets of Tokyo and she had to sit on the sidewalk to take care of something (talking on the phone? cleaning her shoe off?) and I was standing there just kinda looking around. Across the street a shop had its door open and all of a sudden I noticed what looked to be Bemons in a cabinet. I quickly went into the store and sure enough, there were several Bemons! Sweet! I was finally going to score a Bemon from a Tokyo shop! There were two or three guys working the shop and I asked about the Bemons. The guy who turned out to be the owner shook his head, "no, they aren't for sale". But then he told me to come upstairs, into this loft area above the shop and pulled out a box for me to sit on and told me to face the wall. I did and I could tell that he was opening a combination lock on a case behind me. When he told me I could turn around he handed me a new Bemon sculpt that wasn't released yet - it was a "future Bemon". It had the same basic shape, but it was perfectly smooth instead of textured, and the facial features were pinched and a bit more robotic looking. And it was in a colorway similar to this one, but had perfectly painted stripes: After marveling at it for a while I handed it back, thanked him and introduced myself. The owner - now speaking perfect English - said his name was Droup (the spelling is crystal clear in my memory of the dream!). That is all.
Had a wild streak of dreams briefly involving toys AND Skullbrain-related flashes the other night - first I dreamt of a beautiful custom Ojo (probably inspired by the two Koji customs that were recently sold on here) and then that the "Got Paranoia?"-thread had been locked...
I regularly have dreams of finding stockpiles of large vintage monsters while on vacation, some store/flea market, or a long forgotten collection at a relative's house, etc. Waking up sucks.
I had a dream last night I was in a Walmart in China, they had all sorts of cool toys, but the best were these Stretch Armstrong type, rubber body full of goo, but they had bootlegged vinyl M1go Matango heads on them in all sorts of colors. In the dream I bought them all so I could get them to 'Brainers when I got back to the states, heh.
(an old dream, just saw this thread) I had a dream once I was wondering around an apartment complex and the residents were there set up with tables, selling various wares. Well, there was Arin C. hanging out at his table, selling various pus merch, but what caught my eye were the 4 ft tall blow mold Cococrocs he was selling. He had quite a few different colors too. I bought one of each and we hung out for a while and we talked about more pushead toys.
Woke up last night at 3am after dreaming that I had left a bunch of toys on a windowsill for weeks intending to move them, but not getting around to it and the backs all became sun bleached. I woke up feeling very ashamed and mad at myself.
dang! Reminds me of a bad day when I left my vintage Astroboy vinyl bank in hot water too long and bubbles/discoloration happened all over his backside
