http://maps.google.com/maps?near=2780+N ... tQOq2Li8Ag lemme know if that works. I am not from the area but Rotofugi does have a google map embedded in the "contact us" section of their site, I just plugged in the word "hotel" for the results above... the Belwood seems closest. Rotofugi has always been accommodating when I email them so if this helps you get to them then I believe I have officially returned their kindness =)
thx. i'm pretty google savy but last time i was there someone said they were staying at some hotel around the corner, which i don't see anything that close, and i thought they said it was some kind of chain.
the Belwood looks like its 4 blocks away, not sure if that qualifies as around the corner. Chicago natives, feel free to chime in.
Your looking for a hotel around the new location right? they aren't off Chicago anymore. But I can't think of any hotels in the immediate area, I know there is one right off the red line on Belmont and that's just a 1 stop over basically.
I think that Days Inn on that map is cool. I don't consider it far, walking distance on an OK day even or you can take 1 bus real short ride from there. I don't know about the insides of the hotels since I live here and any family who visits just stays with me or in the burbs.
http://www.daysinnchicago.net/index.cfm that's the one on diversey. i want to say that's the one stealthtank stayed at for the gargamel show, but... that was yesterday.
The Days Inn is the best relatively close option. I think the Belwood is more of an SRO type situation, no reservations, that sort of thing. I'd say that would only be good if you're feeling adventurous. The Old Chicago Inn on Sheffield is a little more B&B style and still somewhat close.
